Born and raised in NYC under the wonderful influence of R&B which morphed into Disco then ultimately to my favorite genre House. Partied in the legendary places as Bonds International, The Loft, The Tunnel, Shelter and anywhere where true music mixers, DJs in its infancy converged. My admiration of house continues with my fondest following of  Tony Humphreys, Larry Levan, DJ Dave and credit to Ruben Toro and, of course Lil, Louis Vega. All the uploaded tracks are my compositions made on my phone via DJing app with no headphones, equalizers or complex equipment used. The mixes are done while riding the subway, watching TV or simply hanging out.  The are imperfections in mixing as I rely on knowledge of song and, what I believe works.  I imagine non stop dancing and hopefully a mix which keeps the beat flowing.  Hope you like.  Peace

Bang The Drum Party was established in 2009 by DJ/Producer Jihad Muhammad in Newark, NJ. Bang The Drum (BTD) has hosted some of the best DJ's and Artists in the Underground Dance Scene. The purpose of the party is to promote the Global Soul Movement. Jihad defines Global soul as " Soulful music...House, Funk, Disco, Afrobeat... any music that touches the soul of all people....of all races. That to me makes it Global ".
