The Watkins Family Hour is a monthly residency at the Los Angeles venue, Largo, led by siblings Sean and Sara Watkins. For the past nine years they've brought in an eclectic group of guest musicians including Benmont Tench, Fiona Apple, Grant Lee Phillips, Jackson Browne, John C. Reily, among others.

Splice together the DNA of Samuel L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction, Captain Jack Sparrow, Michael Jackson when he was eight, Data from the Goonies and a labrador puppy. Shake well in a soft leather Gucci cowboy boot, pour contents into a petri dish and place in the airing cupboard under the Anne Summers knickers for two weeks. Add a pinch of the cookie monster, two fingers of Dolly Parton and cover generously with the sex musk of Burt Reynolds and you’ll be close to recreating something that resembles Sammy Senior.

I came up in the Music (Business) where there were rules and guidelines to the way things were done. It never made sense to me. I felt like you can own your own studio,make your own records and put them out how & when you want and even shoot your own videos. I'm soooo happy to finally be in that place now.
