Here’s a total remake of the song we posted on “hump day” Wednesday of this week. The melody is essentially the same, but there are new words, totally different and somewhat inventive instrumentation, and my baby girl, Amelia Boyd, does the lion’s share of the singing. Rather than just goofing and going for grins, this one has something to say. The music features a Kalimba (thumb piano) a Kudu horn from Africa, a jug and a washboard from down home, a bit of an international sound. Thought it might be interesting to hear the two versions back to back.This was another playful (one of those…”Hey! I know what we could use or do days”) at Southside Tracks, and a super fun project for Amelia Faith and The Three Amigos production unit at the studio. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.
