Great big thanks to Bitzone for reaching out and inspiring me to make music with him. He has been very patient with my process and generous with his creativity. He is a real cool guy and I am lucky to get to know him better. Lyrics and vocals only come out of me if the music's and my muses can make love with each other. 

The cold long overcast winters of the Pacific Northwest Portland Oregon area and the current nature of my work have affected me differently than the Sunny California positive vibing Bay Area. I took a trip on a houseboat along the canal, and it was fantastic, and so relaxing. Beautiful weather, a very light refreshing soft wind, sounds of people and children around and sound of the water. I wrote the lyrics to Sneekie San Salvador many, many years ago as an alter ego to the more positive Couch King. I was probably channeling a bit of Dr. Octagon. The lyrics may have also been an accessing of the shadow side of parenting. The voice of the devil on your shoulder. Initially (about a year ago or maybe more) I was only going to use the Sneekie San Salvador lyrics for a short and easy song with Tensor. I sent my vocals to Tensor over a basic hip hop drum loop, but after Tensor sent me his production work for the track I was inspired to write more lyrics. Deeper was written before, "I Don't Owe Ya," but explores the similar theme of troubled youth. I thought Heatscore's dark cold metal guitar work would help emphasize the bleak landscape of the theme and I knew Ill Dub would help bring out the crazy. 

Huge thanks to Tensor for his incredible patience waiting for this track to be completed and released. Thanks to Heartscore for still being a friend and inspiration and collaborator on so many different projects. Thanks to Ill Dub for always being there for me through much of my journey on SoundCloud. All these musicians are my family.

i put my heart & soul into this track and  i really felt this vibe. It's almost like i felt the hand of God on my shoulder and a sense of inner peace that i havent felt in a long time as i played back each section as i wrote it . That probably sounds corny as hell  but it's true . i haven't been lost in my music in a while but this track was an escape for me ; i kind of felt sad  when i finished this track because I was having such a good time.  I could have gone another 10 minutes or more LOL . Anyway , i hope it sounds good and more importantly "i hope you can feel all the love and positive vibes from my heart  " . Thanks for listening and a big thanks to Kurt from ClubFungus because doing this remix was really good for my soul !! JJL 

the intro starts out as the original mix until the vocals kick in . i kept the original kick , tops , bass & guitar skank and i added all the vox , synths , bass 2 & bass 3 , organ , 6 op & cl hats , plucks & piano , various FX . VST's used Spire , Vengeance , Serum . Recorded directly with Maschine MK3. The guitar effect if reversing guitar samples directly in Ableton, though I like jamn with reverse delay (like one can be found in Korg Gadget on iPad). The rest of prod and mastering is done in Ableton Live 10. Thanks for your support!

Electrodance is a frenetic and quirky form of street dance typically performed to electro house music. It is based on, although is not limited to, a blend of different dance styles, such as industrial dance, moroccan chaabi, disco, vogue, waacking, hip-hop and freehand glowsticking.
