Sometimes people close to us pass away far earlier than expected, and sometimes they come back to visit us in our dreams.

Here's the breakdown of what I used on this track:
Drums: Logic Pro Virtual Drummer Max Punk Rock with the Bluebird drum kit
Bass: Logic Pro Thumb bass with some chorus and delay
Electric Piano: Korg SV-1 Reed EP-2 preprocessed with chorus and plate delay, post processed with echo, spreader, ensemble and flanger. With all these effects and a sustain pedal, if you hold the pedal down and repeat notes in rapid succession, a crescendo effect is created (with the built in analogue amplifier).
Synth: Logic Pro (Alchemy) Strings Morph and Buss Bar (Funky Crunchy)

This one was developed and recorded one afternoon about a year ago with Jose (the Problem) when no one was thinking about mics or recording quality or nuthin', and I can’t really remember what we did. I opened it back up a few weeks ago and did a little editing. But it was basically live. I was playing v-drums somewhere back there with a little speaker, while Jose played piano with at least one mic. We may have added the vocals separately. I don’t know. I just don’t know.

This song is based on an original idea by Jeff Buckley and Liz Fraser. Sadly it was never finished or properly recorded in his lifetime. Bethany and I thought that the song deserved to be completed and so we set out to do just that.

There were so many great performances from the musicians involved that we really thought it would be great to really hear the quieter instruments in their own setting. Not only does it give yet another take on the song but it also allows you to really hear the beautiful vocals once again.
