This was my first children's book, and truth to tell, I wouldn't mind doing more of them. This one is a simple read but enjoyable for little ones learning about their own emotions. It is meant as a companion piece to be listened to while reading the book and looking at the wonderful illustrations of well-known dog portraits displaying various facial gestures suggesting emotions that we human would recognize.
