My cover of Jealous Guy, written by John Lennon. All the instrumental and vocals are me. Drums were loops, but they had to be chopped to fit. Couldn't get it to match up otherwise.  Enjoy.

John Lennon had a way of taking simple lyrics and giving them a meaning so much more than just the words themselves. The reciprocal nature of this song, with reversing the words show that true love is a give and take. The piano intro and closing have a haunting feel to them. This is a redo of an earlier version I did. I hope I did it some justice.

My recording of Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin's song, It is my intention to leave it as an "unplugged" version, rather than working to add in other instruments. The vocals are mine... as is the piano, done in one take... 

Tiny Dancer. It came out in 1971 on the album Madman Across The Water. 

When it was released as a single, it didn't do very well. The radio version was cut down from over 6 minutes long to about 3 and 1/2 minutes. It now enjoys a lot more popularity than when it was first released and is one of the more requested songs of Sir Elton John.

My cover of one of John Lennon's songs. This song was recorded on piano and guitar, but never published by John, it was reworked by the other Beatles and was released in it's "raw" form by Yoko after John's murder. I particularly like the piano version, as the intro/ interlude and ending part is so haunting. A beautiful song by a true master.

My cover of John Lennon's song, Oh My Love, from the Imagine Album. In this I put a piano, an electric grand piano, 12 string guitar, steel guitar sounds. This is all me, including mixing and vocals.

"Stay with Me" is a song by British singer-songwriter Sam Smith from his debut studio album In the Lonely Hour. This is my take on it.

John Lennon mainly wrote this as a reflection on his life,  the lines "Some [friends] are dead and some are living/In my life I've loved them all" referred to Stuart Sutcliffe (who died in 1962) and to Shotton. This song was accredited, as all their Beatles years songs, to Lennon and McCartney. It was on the Rubber Soul album, from 1965.



In My Life

The song "Angel", by Sarah McLachian, came out in 1998. An emotion packed song. My friend, Joe Popper, does the vocals, I do the accompaniment. Enjoy!

This is my cover of "The Load-Out",  a song co-written and performed live by Jackson Browne from his 1977 album Running on Empty. It is a tribute to his roadies and fans, "Stay" is a doo-wop song recorded by Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs. Vocals and instrumental were performed on this version by me. Enjoy!

 A song written by Calvin Lewis and Andrew Wright which was recorded by Percy Sledge in 1966. It made number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B singles charts and was listed 53rd in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

My cover of "Forever Young" By Rod Stewart / Bob Dylan  Interesting history to this song, Bob Dylan and Rod both released very similar versions and lyrics, Dylan in the 60's, Stewart in the 80's. They shared royalties from this as a settlement.  Instrumental and vocals and mixing are mine. This song I recorded for my Girls.

This is my cover of "Feelin' Alright?", also known as "Feeling Alright", a song written by Dave Mason of the English rock band Traffic from their eponymous 1968 album Traffic.The song was also a hit single for several performers: Joe Cocker,Mongo Santamaría, and Grand Funk Railroad. Instrumental and vocals are mine... You feelin' alright? ;-)

In his original version there can be heard a ticking type sound which many assumed was a metronome. It was actually Paul tapping his feet during playing and recording this.

Billy Joel wrote this song for his daughter. Joe and I are doing for all the younger generation of our families and extended families.

I am also blessed to have a best friend who has an amazing voice who is featured on many of the songs I post here. It's all just about giving you a little part of me, which hopefully brightens your day a little.
