Every evening she went to visit the muggy, rocky caverns. Each step was meticulously placed, the safe path fully mapped out in her head at this point. But still — one wrong move and she could easily be swept into the seemingly bottomless void below. Tonight the roundtrip journey would take hours, but she carried on, one mindful step at a time. The echoes of her pattering feet became quieter. The light became dimmer as shadows began to swirl. The thick, humid air turned frail and bitter. Just when a shred of fear began to tickle her neck, a familiar warmth reached out and offered itself as a guide through the dark. Her feet lifted off the ground as she was beckoned into the dwelling of her beloved.

Hot on the heels of RITA BASS’s debut double single via 56K Records, the Naarm (Melbourne) based artist has enlisted the meticulous talents of Toronto producer Ciel to remix 'Shaped Curve', taken off the B-side of the release. Ciel, who has previously released on Shanti Celeste’s Peach Discs and co-runs her own Parallel Minds imprint, delivers a nostalgic dub that transforms the original from pop to UKG-laced IDM. Keeping it drenched in emotion, like RITA's OG version, this stripped-back take makes for a perfect sunrise closer.

Producer & DJ hailing from Ravensburg, a small town 25 kilometres north of Lake Constance. For Frank Hellmond this is the right place to create his deep and dubby techhouse sound and to work as a DJ. In addition to his love of electronic music, there are also other areas of music that interest him, ranging from neoclassical, folk, soul, funk and jazz to reggae and dub.

Frank produced and released his first tracks as an artist in 2001 with Dieter Krause as "Laplaceausoleil" on labels such as Eintakt, Formic, Plong and Sinergy Networks. Since 2008 he has also been pushing his solo career under his own name with releases on labels such as Eintakt, ETUI, Diametral, Turmfalke, Tiefenrausch, Paperjet Rec, Insectorama and more. In 2006, he founded the label "dreiton" together with Antonio Bruno and Sascha Kazmierczak, which he still runs today together with Denny Suski. "dreiton" stands for Ambient / Electronica up to Dub-Techno and Deephouse.

'Chords on 5' was created from ideas from a live set in 2018. With a mix of dubby elements and a subtle hint of jazz, this track is designed to work both at home and on the dancefloor. The fusion of dub elements adds an unexpected dimension to the track by incorporating room-filling effects such as delays, reverbs and subtle distortion. This creates an inviting yet dreamy atmosphere that takes listeners on a journey through soundscapes.
