I’m a DJ from Manchester moving through the deeper, rhythm-focused corners of underground house. My direction was shaped early on through curating events and building spaces for the music I love, including my time founding and running Melotech. Those years taught me how to read a room, trust my taste and build sets that genuinely work for a crowd.

My sound is built around percussion, progression and groove. Keeping hypnotic, melodic and always designed for the dancers in front of me.

With Kinōra, I’m taking a more personal route: less noise, more intention, and a space where the music leads everything.

From a young age, Higgins found solace in record shops, always on the lookout for the latest music. Like many DJs starting out, his passion for collecting records grew alongside his desire to develop a unique style and technique. He spent countless nights traveling to club events and distributing mixtapes, which was just the norm in those days.

His persistence eventually paid off, landing him gigs at venues across the UK, including a residency at 'The Edge' in Sheffield. During this time, he had the opportunity to play alongside iconic DJs like Mickey Finn, Grooverider, Swan-E, Hype, and SS.

But despite his success, Higgins felt something was missing. He was ready for a new challenge and a fresh direction. Influenced by producers like Brian Transeau, Blue Amazon, Paul Oakenfold, and especially Paul Van Dyk's legendary 7 Ways album, he began to seek out new musical horizons.

The turning point came with his introduction to Sasha & John Digweed. Their innovative style and impeccable track selection had a profound impact on Higgins, inspiring him to push his own boundaries further.

As a former resident DJ for Upcloseandpersonalmcr, one of the UK’s leading club nights known for its intimate atmosphere and world-class lineups, Higgins played alongside top-tier DJs such as Danny Howells, Nick Muir, Eelke Kleijn, Quivver, Guy Mantzur, Robert Babicz, Luke Brancaccio, and many more.

Now, as the driving force behind Secluded Events Worldwide and in partnership with Guerilla Music Agency, Higgins is gearing up for an exciting 2024 with major projects on the horizon.

His current favorite producers include Davi, Barry Jamieson, Sasha, Bedrock, MJ Hooker, D-NOX, Dilby, Nick Curly, Steve Bug, Gorge, Cybernalia, Audiojack, Nick Muir, TILT, Ian Bland, Luke Brancaccio, Steve Parry, and Quivver—the list goes on.

Higgins’ musical style is all about keeping the crowd moving, ensuring every set is a dance floor experience like no other. With his passion and vision driving him forward, the future looks incredibly bright.
