The winter's almost gone and Luettje Luise's Mama comes out of hibernation. With a new playground at home, it will take a talented hand to prepare for the upcoming spring. Along comes @Nutia, sowing his seeds of ‘Raounuor’.

‘Fischbahn’ (A1) is a decent wake up call for the early birds facing their way back north to the deep woods of ‘Schweden’ (A2). Here, Nutia serenades those old inhabitants with a rattling melody, and sends them on their way with heads still light. ‘Em Pessoa’ (B1) tinkles on the flipside: a lullaby of constant perpetuation, which echoes its way through the mesmerising labyrinth of trees and bushes, only to be heard by the lonesome @Deer (B2), who answers with the most gentle mating call these woods have ever heard.

‘From Outside’ (Digital) the vinyl some unknown voices fly in. One might call them electronic - whatever that could be.

Imagine you get off the train in London’s Ladbroke Grove. Its summertime with guys and girls in their summer attire and everyone has a smile on their face. You walk along Portobello Road, taking in the nice chilled sounds emanating from a speaker that you can’t see but can certainly hear.
You carry on walking, this time heading away from Portobello towards Trellick Tower. The sounds are still pumping, but along Golborne Road the soundscape is slightly rawer and tougher.
Then you blink and are no longer in West London, having been magically transported to Miami’s South Beach district. You pass a bar called Jazid and pop your head in. The music in here still has that gorgeous sun filled happiness about it and you stay here for a couple of Pina Coladas, closing your eyes and letting the beats embrace your whole persona.
When you re-open your eyes, you’re still in Miami, but it’s now evening time and you’re dancing to a much deeper sound before heading off to bed to carry on this amazing journey tomorrow.
As the new sunrise appears, the sky is crystal clear and you’ve awoken in Washington D.C. There’s a strong sound of Go Go! influences on the radio that sets your mood for the day. You take a walk around downtown Capitol, stopping to listen to the music playing from a car stereo whilst nodding your head to the groove, but as suddenly as you were in D.C, you’re now on a boat sailing around the beautiful Croatian islands. The boat is packed with people dancing and you take in the sounds, the vibe, the love, the happiness and the general feeling that life is good. Having sailed around for what seems like hours, you’re now back on terra firma having docked in the glorious Sardinia on the same boat. You spend a few hours here relaxing and watching the sun finally disappear behind the western horizon before waking up and finding yourself back home.
What a journey it has all been. Fun! is a journey as described above, drawing influences from all of these places. If you have picked this up thinking it’s a house album, think again. It’s called Fun! because it was made with that very intention. In Phil Asher’s own words, “We just wanted to have Fun! and not try to force this into any specific pigeonhole. It’s a music album and in making it, we all had a lot of Fun!”

J I M D U N L O O P ... "the key wizard" has been playing his piano for the last 36 years. He began with a classical education , and by the time he was 14 years old was analyzing the compositions of Gershwin and Brubeck, leading to a keen interest in jazz music. He quickly developed his knowledge of the creative works of many great jazz/funk pianists such as Herbie Hancock , Bob James, Chick Corea and Adam Makowicz. Infected with the funk rhythm, Jim Dunloop became interested in Rap music in the early nineties. In Dusseldorf in 1991 he became a member of the legendary "Fresh Familee" crew. In 1993, together with Fresh Familee drummer Splinta, he formed the group "KONSTRUKTIVE KRITIK". Over the next few years the group appeared on many compilations and in 1995 they released their debut album "Kuehl" on iGadgets Label Köln Massive. In 2001 Jim Dunloop moved from Dusseldorf to Germany's art and music capital Berlin. He quickly began a collaboration with world renowned DJ and turntablist Marc Hype. Their vinyl releases "The Antique Anthem", "Bombay Raw", "Finale 74", "Point Blank " and the album "Stamp out Reality" were very successful in the worldwide DJ-circuit. Their cover version of Babe Ruth's "The Mexican" in 2006 was dubbed by UK's Jazzman Gerald as "the" version to have. On the remix tip they build a strong reputation with works for artists like All Good Funk Alliance, Deela or Kid Gusto Their past tour schedule proved their ability to rock internationally with stops allover Europe as in Hong Kong, Russia, Israel, Australia, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore & India. The live performance of Marc Hype & Jim Dunloop is best defined as a mix of DJing , turntablism and the highest of piano art. Apart from all this Jim performs together with Mr.Krime, Daniel Drumz, Pat Patent and Admiral DMC, all highly respected DJs from Poland, under the name of "Mako Boko". Together with drummer Guiseppe Coppola (Gentleman/Brothers Keepers) Dunloop has founded the Duo called "Mathematics". Jim's piano lines were used several times by Suff Daddy and FlowinImmo. Recently his focus is on the co-operation with S.Squair Blaq, Devon Parker, Sherry Trotter, Mr.Krime, Soulrock, Maxime Vaugon, Grizzly Adams, Natalie Oliveri, Rita J, Aquil and Pugs Atomz, fellow friends and musicians from the global network.The first part of these collaborations is summarized on the longplayer OPUS 76 BPM.
