Show Me The Way

"No Matter What" is my latest collaboration with Phil Trickey (@trickey-sound), who happens to be not only an amazing producer, but also a truly gifted multi-instrumentalist and composer; not to mention what a kind soul he is.

When I showed him a demo of this song I had written a couple of years ago, it only had some guitar chords and my vocals. I was blown away when he replied to me with this version. It filled my heart with joy to hear how he had taken the song to the next level.

"No Matter What" is about being ghosted by the person you like. How many times have you waited for a call, a message, a smoke sign, anything? Isn't it easier for that person to tell you that s/he isn't interested in you instead of keeping you waiting anxiously, on the verge of madness? This song is a desperate cry for help: "Why don't you say you don't love, don't need me"? For god's sake, say something! It's despairing indeed. So this song is for people to vent their pent-up frustration in these situations. Hope you enjoy it!

Today, our first album has landed on all music platforms. It's called "Ten Waves" and it includes the 9 songs Torbjørn (@tobbenv) and I have been working on for almost 4 years plus a new release, called "You Won".

Making music with Torbjørn has been an incredible experience from Day 1. His generosity and talent are out of this world and I feel truly blessed to have worked on all these amazing songs with him, each one of which captures a different time in our lives.

(ENG) Jimena Arroyo is a singer-songwriter from La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of 19, she won a car in a singing competition on a TV show in her country. From that moment on, she started performing live and worked as a touring singer in a cover band for over ten years. After that, she decided to focus on her original songs, so she started working with very talented musicians, composers and producers from all over the world. She is also the lead singer of Excorde. She's been nominated for several international music awards. In 2021 she won the International Singer-Songwriters Association Award for Best International Female Vocalist.  She released her first solo album "But First We Burn" with producer CJ Teffner, which won Intl. Female Album of 2022 - Gold by ISSA.
