Hitman

This is my third release (25.11.2016) as a solo artist. It's available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, etc. The song is heavily inspired by Johnny Cash and is about the film 'There Will Be Blood'. Huge thanks to Mark Tyas (for playing bass), Sam Hopper (for perfect beats - as per usual!). Biggest thanks of all to Al Heslop who recorded, mixed, and produced the song at Creative Control Studio, Bracknell.

This was a small composition project for one of my music theory classes.  The title describes the elements of the piece: four – quartal harmonies; seven – 7/4 time; eight – octatonic scales for the melody.  I did not expect it to come out quite so jazzy while I was writing it, but I like the result.  Vibraphone and piano.

This brief orchestral composition was inspired by the classic poem The Raven.  I sketched it out a decade ago and it sat in my folder of unfinished work for ages, until I orchestrated it just recently.  This was really quick work: I orchestrated it in just two hours.

Jimmy The Dog (band project): I've written and produced seven albums: Jimmy The Dog (2013), New Tricks (2014), Runnin' With The Pack (2016) and Jimmy The Dog's Shuffle'n'Swing (2018), a jazzy-pop departure from the previous country- and blues-influenced rock albums, Rattlesnake Love (2020) a harder-edged blues-influenced rock offering recorded during the Covid-19 crisis, Strangeness & Charm (2021), an AOR songwriter album focusing on acoustic guitar and in another change of style, Los Perros Del Infierno (2024), a hard rock album influenced by Spanish/Mexican desert rock.
