Hi there folks 😉

Formerly I have been known for about two decades as DJ Shawnodese, but have recently changed my name into DJ Sonic Sculptor, which feels a lot more appropriate during my current stages in life as well as for what I try and create as a DJ.

I've been active under my alias DJ Shawnodese for most of the time, which was between 1991-2011 in the psytrance scene and after that in the conscious clubbing and Ecstatic Dance scene until 2024.

I played allover the planet and mainly did so in the psytrance scene with bookings on major psytrance and other in- & outdoor parties & festivals such as Boom Festival (Portugal), Ozora (Hungary), Earthdance (Bolivia/Holland), Antaris Project (Germany), Return to the Source (U.K./Germany), Universo Paralello (Brazil), Vuuv/Voov Experience (Germany), Alien Safari (South-Africa), Excalibur (Germany), Spacehopper (U.K.) and many more. 

Next to playing all those massive dance floors, I also played lots of downtempo and experimental sets at many chill-outs, lounges and the famous Amsterdam coffee shops. And last but not least, I've been running my own record label Mind Funk Records for about 7 years, which I did together with my buddies Valerio & Guiseppe @ Beatspace.com

Back in 2011, when I decided to stop playing as a psytrance DJ, I somehow miraculously was led upon a new and really refreshing musical trail in 2012, which was by getting in touch with Ecstatic Dance and other magic conscious events, such as The Chocolate Club in Amsterdam and which were all organized at Amsterdam's legendary Club Lite.

I have been DJ-ing on many Ecstatic Dance events over the past few years and did so in the Netherlands and Belgium and did so under my old alias DJ Shawnodese. As mentioned previously, have recently changed my name to DJ Sonic Sculptor, which unexpectedly came to me, partly through an amazing dream.

Sonic sculpting is what I do best and is my most favorite thing to do on this beautiful magic planet. Nothing gives me more joy than doing so on Ecstatic Dance events, which I intensely love for its seemingly endless possibilities to experiment with every possible kind of music that makes those delicious hips wiggle and wobble like a baboon in heat. 😜

These uniquely vibrant Ecstatic Danc events have had  a very deep and profound impact on my personal development as a human being and which have taught me so much about how I interact with myself and others. How to learn and grow through dance, movement, playing together and constantly exploring personal and collective boundaries and desires.

Ecstatic Dance events have a strong focus upon a clear consensual connection between us as human beings while dancing, moving and playing on our bare feet, being drug free and leaving all the verbal noise of the day far behind. These events allow everyone to truly drop into the body and deeply get in touch with our sacred somatic temple again.

I really look forward to seeing you all soon on some of those amazing dance floors and being able to drop some of my favorite musical masterpieces upon you all! 🥳

DJ VONIK came onto the scene at the young age of 15, turning heads with his unique blend of hip hop, house, and electro. From the humble origins of spinning weekly in front of a local hip hop clothing store, he became youngest resident DJ in Taiwan at the famous Plush nightclub by age 18. All the while, VONIK stayed true to his turntablist roots and was crowned Taiwan's 2009/2010 DMC Champion, going on to represent Taiwan at the DMC World Championship in London. Since then, VONIK has held numerous residencies all over Taiwan and also worked on both Jay Chou and Show Luo on their albums. Truly a DJ's DJ with background in both the club and turnbalist scene, DJ VONIK brings over 10 years of party rocking experience to the decks and is not someone you want to miss!

J. Anthony Allen has worn the hats of composer, producer, songwriter, engineer, sound designer, DJ, remix artist, multi-media artist, performer, inventor, and entrepreneur. Allen is a versatile creator whose diverse project experience ranges from works written for the Minnesota Orchestra to pieces developed for film, TV, and radio. An innovator in the field of electronic performance, Allen performs on a set of “glove” controllers, which he has designed, built, and programmed by himself. When he’s not working as a solo artist, Allen is a serial collaborator. His primary collaborative vehicle is the group Ballet Mech, for which Allen is one of three producers.

In 2014, Allen was a semi-finalist for the Grammy Foundation’s Music Educator of the Year. J. Anthony Allen teaches at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN., and is an Ableton Live Certified Instructor. He has a PhD in music composition, 2 Master’s degrees in music composition and electronic music, and a bachelors degree in guitar performance. Through his academic travels, Dr. Allen has received numerous awards along the way.
