Guardian

Yes there is an angel guarding me
Watching over without a fee
Observing all of my mistakes
Protecting and giving me some breaks

I didn’t deserve it 
but I was protected nonetheless
Through all the grime and grit
I got a break here and there I guess

Helping me through the hard times
When I would commit some crimes
I didn’t deserve the protection
I guess the angel looked at me with affection

Forgiving me when I was a child
I was often gone and oh so wild

Then those years of wild abandon
It was as though they called a stand-in
Early on I said my penance
I left and I asserted my independence

In the booth I told what I did
But then I was just a kid

The nasty things of which I am ashamed
I committed each of those sins
No one came for me I was not blamed
For some I reason I came out with wins

There was a bit of guarding I received
But I look back and now I am relieved

The Jimi Heinrich Orchestra is a music collective that has been improvising together since 1999. Most musicians also have other projects from time to time and on a regular basis.

Naturaly people come and go, but the hard core has been together even longer (about 20 years) - and so our improvisations tend to blend fluidly.

For Jimi, this improvisational side of the music has a deep spiritual aspect to it - and so, every session also is a kind of collective aural meditation.
