Corrupt Illusionist is the brain child of MOHIT JAIN, a Delhi based musician who has been at the forefront of both rock & psychedelic trance music scene for the past 15 years.

Mohit’s journey started out listening to new metal music with his major influences coming from bands like Mudvayne, Deftones , korn, slipknot etc. He started his musical journey as a drummer against his parent’s will but perseverance paid off when he was gifted a drum kit for his 15th birthday. Since then he has played as a drummer &a vocalist for many bands including Half Way Through,1833AD, Zealotry. His journey was embarked towards more heavy sounds, so he turned to incorporating electronic music with the sublime melodies, crisp guitar riffs and soundscaped drum patterns .

Mohit started DJ’ing as a hobby continuously using various softwares and learning their uses and tricks for developing his own unique sound and music style. He started playing for his friends at house parties and other small gatherings as he was always interested in sharing new sounds & music. As the days passed by, he came in contact with other psychedelic trance music produces.He got to know and learn more about electronic music and thus could carve out the sounds that he was the most enthusiastic about.

He define his genre of music as “corrupt and twisted”. He has been responsible for dance floor stomp massacres across various venues in Delhi and NCR. He has had the pleasure for opening for various world renown artist like Highstyle, Whiptonge, Arjuna, Antagon, Junx Punx, Hyperactive 25, Wario, Fobi, kabayun, kindzadza, fungus funk, drip drop, zaiklophobia, komfuzius, gaspard, sesto sento, wishi, hyperactive 25, daash, azax syndrome, virtual light, guisseppe, confo, atriohm, archaic, megalopsy, kashyyk, frantic noise, arcek, spiral etc.
His music boast of complex geometrical arrangements of the beats and intelligent use of multiple samples overlapping with each other so as to deliver mind bending chaotic music resulting in major stomps by the dance floor Hooligans.

DESTRUCTION AND CREATION
GOAL

Studies of human behavior reveal that the actions we undertake as individuals are closely related to survival, more importantly, survival on our own terms. Naturally, such a notion implies that we should be able to act relatively free or independent of any debilitating external influences—otherwise that very survival might be in jeopardy. In viewing the instinct for survival in this manner we imply that a basic aim or goal, as individuals, is to improve our capacity for independent action. The degree to which we cooperate, or compete, with others is driven by the need to satisfy this basic goal. If we believe that it is
not possible to satisfy it alone, without help from others, history shows us that we will agree to constraints upon our independent action—in order to collectively pool skills and talents in the form of nations, corporations, labor unions, mafias, etc. —so that obstacles standing in the way of the basic goal can either be removed or overcome. On the other hand, if the group cannot or does not attempt to overcome obstacles deemed important to many (or possibly any) of its individual members, the group must risk losing these alienated members. Under these circumstances, the alienated members may dissolve their relationship and remain independent, form a group of their own, or join another collective body in order to improve their capacity for independent action.

Containing nearly all the tracks played throughout my 2016 season in Asia, the outcome of my latest freestyle session is like rocket fuel mixed with high grade Acid. It took me a while to record this new mix, but here it is. It was inspired by underground gatherings in the Malaysian jungle, Chinese meadows, the floating villages and bamboo forests of Thailand as well as clandestine clubs in Japan.

The outcome is a far different style than what I play in Europe: it pays respect to the intoxicating, overwhelming vibe of the East.  No breaks. Not suitable for a lazy Sunday. Definitely suitable for your own private stomp, after which you will probably need a shower... :) Have an exceptional mind-bending journey through this psychedelic jungle experience! Jimi Green is the Psytrance project of Jonas Kalkreuth from Germany. Throughout his life music has been a loyal companion either by playing multiple instruments, being surrounded by musicians, or listening as much as possible, always being eager to find new inspiring musical ideas. Once he discovered psychedelic trance, he knew the possibilities of musical expression would be endless. After years of experimentation, trial and error he found his own unique interpretation of psychedelic music. Over the years he released tremendous amounts of tunes with his two-man project Duke & Gonzo. After years of composing music together, he felt it was time to explore the realm of psychedelic music on his own and see what will happen once he got down the rabbit hole. Heavy influenced by all kinds of music this project is driven by funky psychedelic soundscapes, groovy basslines, and hard-hitting drums, creating a unique sonic experience which will definitely get your feet moving!
