CONFUSION is an award-winning DJ, producer, and remixer with deep roots in the U.S. underground music scene. In 2025, he won the Future Funk Squad Remix Competition, earning a release on their UK label En:Vision, where he's currently signed alongside ElectroBreakz, Toast & Jam, and his own label, Funky Bat Records.

His journey began in 1996 after moving from Chicago to South Florida, where he emerged from the underground and quickly gained recognition. His first-ever drum & bass mix was voted #1 Best International Drum & Bass DJ Mix by Knowledge Magazine UK in 2000.

Known for his bass-heavy electro and funky breakbeat sets, CONFUSION also incorporates drum & bass and other genres when the vibe calls for it. His influences run deep, spanning Miami bass, 80s freestyle, heavy metal, alternative, Chicago blues, and funk—elements that fuel his high-energy, forward-thinking sets and productions.

A long-standing presence in North America’s dance music scene, CONFUSION has performed on key stages at Ultra Music Festival (Miami), Legendary Zen Festival (Miami), Era Fest (Tampa), Crystal Mountain Music Festival (Montana), and Shambhala Music Festival (Renegade – B.C., Canada). He’s also a regular favorite at Miami Music Week during the Winter Music Conference, while holding residencies at iconic venues from Seattle’s Fraktured to Orlando and South Beach. He has even played at the legendary Club Space in Miami, cementing his reputation as a DJ who can move any crowd.

In recognition of his impact, CONFUSION was honored by the NHL Seattle Kraken as a Sound of Seattle artist for his track Phat Ass Funk, which has been played at multiple NHL games in arenas. He has also been featured for live on-air guest DJ mixes on radio stations including 103.1 FM The Buzz (West Palm Beach), 99.7 FM ViBE (Las Vegas), and WVUM 90.5 FM (University of Miami).

Now based near Seattle, he co-runs Funky Bat Records with ekb*, blending music, visual art, and community. He also serves as the Breakbeat Music Ambassador for Vibe 99.7 FM in Las Vegas, the #1 dance music radio station in the entertainment capital of the world.

Jaime Merlo a.k.a JimiTheGenius is a South Florida producer, remixer and dj that has leaped into the Worldwide Bass Music spotlight for countless years now. With his dope productions covering everything from modern day Miami Bass, Electro, Booty and Techno. His Miami Electro Bass sound, is a unique style of low end mixed with his dirty Kuad dropping futuristic sounds. For years now, his one of a kind JTG remixes have been known to help dj's get the party started off right. throughout the country.

In 2003, Jimi joined forces with his good friend Richard Zarate a.k.a. Ashrock, to form Hydraulix aka Hydroz. Their first commercial release as 
Hydraulix, which was released on their self owned imprint (co-owned with Dj Merlyn), @kuadrecordings The buzz which “The Hydraulix E.P.” generated, was unimaginable and props began to role in for the duo. They've been a staple in the Miami Bass Electro scene and their Bass bumpin beats with their dirty low end, have been damaging dance floors worldwide for decades now. 

In 2009, Jimi joined forces once again with Supernaut, to form $uper Geniu$. They both have been dropping straight Miami Bass x Breaks heat for years now, up and down the East coast and at festivals like EDC Orlando, FSOB, and Culture's Candyland festival to name a few. 

JimiTheGenius and his low end sound, has quickly become a worldwide favorite in Bass music. And one can only ensure that his sound will continue to push the low end boundaries through out the world of music.

Matthew "DJ 1UP" Banton of Saint Petersburg/Clearwater is born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina is a member of  Stillill Entertainment, Partiology Productions, and Boondok Fam began his love for underground dance music at the age of 6 with first hearing 2 live crew, 69 Boyz, and Ghost Town DJ's back in the early 90s. Always wondering how DJ's did what they do.  Throughout  Middle School High School he listened to artists such as The Prodigy, DJ Sikora, DJ Babyanne, DJ Icey, George Acosta, Darude, DJ Dan, AK1200, DJ Dara, Dieselboy, Mix Master Mike, DJ Magic Mike, DJ Doc Roc, Miss Jane just to name a few He attended his first underground dance party at New Brookland Tavern in West Columbia, SC in December 2003. Attending many events since that day he began his quest to become a DJ. In the summer of 2010 he bought his first set up, two Technics SLDZ 1200 CDJ's and a Denon Mixer and is now rockin Technics 1200 MK2's and a Traktor Z2 mixer. On the date of February 4, 2012 DJ 1UP was in a car accident which almost lead to his death, 2 days out of the Hospital which was February 15th he was out in the club DJing. That day he decided to host events and has been doing so since. He has held a few residencies  in Columbia, SC. He has done events with heavy hitters such as DJ Icey, Plump DJ's, Aaron Sigmon, DJ Baby Anne, DJ Icey, DJ Robotic, Rob-E the DJ, DJ Quest, Mayhem, DJ Fuzz, DJ Doc Roc, Rob and Zoe Vanwest, DJ Frenzy, Supa Skip, Bad Boy Bill, Caked Up, Mayhem, School Boy, Styles & Complete, DJ Krisp, Eric Beretta, DJ Fuzz  Playing multiple genres of bass music such as Drum and Bass, Drumstep, Break Beats, House, Moombahton, Twerk, Trap, Dubstep/Metalstep/Thugstep, Hip-Hop, and Rap.
