Georgetown D.C. born, Virginia raised, Matthew Lowery a.k.a Chief Dubz is a sub bass vinyl connoisseur and sound system enthusiast currently located on the East Coast of North Carolina. With a wide variety of choice cuts from s slew of genres, Matthew has been refining his approach on the turntables for nearly a decade, with a passion to play hip-hop, dub, dubstep, dub techno, DnB, Jungle and many other styles of music. this track emerged after a long, sleepless night. i'm living in a small town next to a forest and i attempted to capture the beauty of the morning, that soothing, melancholy feeling i always get, when dawn is just breaking and the birds begin to sing, while the rest of the world stands still, covered in mist and it seems like i am the only person being awake.

From the early days of the free party scene from brickworks to caves to beaches Ive been there filling generaters banging tent pegs ,laying cables carrying soundsystems  known as "Jim the WaterMan" wandering the party with a waterbutt and cup on a string hydrating party people for fun and spliffs,to making music with 303s samplers and drum machines,putting on Chill Sites at festivals in Tipis djing till dawn,to having a little club in our bassment with brick dj booth, to being in bands nobody heard of playing keyboards,to ,moving to Manchester partying at Bugged out ,to having our own collective putting party nighs on ,to moving to the countryside ,to having an accident  having to walk with sticks no more dancing the night away,so here still djing in my living room with cool tunes I find with my family and cats keeping it real,I do the mixes for me to play in our van and my workshop,I love to share them with you and to bigup the talented folk who make the tunes ,theres so much cool music out there,Im just doing my bit.Enjoy life its the only one you have :}Jim.....
