Hip Hop mixed with Jazz the new Jazzmatazz Style. Here is a personal List of 50 Tracks made by worldwide artists from forward thinking Labels such as Mo Wax, Ninja Tune, Good Locking, Compost etc. Remixes of Björk, DJ Shadow, Tosca, Pressure Drop, DJ Krush, Nightmares on Wax to name a few. It opened a new Universe to me in the 90s and hopefully you will enjoy my musical time-travel in the vein of my recent Streetsoul Set or my Kaleidoskop Tribute.

McG @conor-mcginnis started selecting almost a decade ago on university radio at WSUM 91.7 FM Madison, then a few years later for @sutrofm in San Fransisco. The Spinzone became a weekly show dedicated to sharing record shop finds -- its early beginnings were mostly jazz-dominated then eventually took a plunge into the deep house and disco realms.

While residing in Madison, McG joined the JAMS crew to throw parties at Robinia Courtyard, opening for artists like Jkriv, Seb Wildblood, Peter Croce, Jeff Swiff, Christian James... Fast forward to now he's back in the heart of Minneapolis. McG recently formed "The Excavators": a DJ duo with fellow selector @qjmpls. The Excavators now host a newer series called Wax Appeal: a vinyl-focused party in MPLS showcasing the mixing craft and dance records rarely heard in the area.

Grateful for @thecollectivegroove the invitation. This set is a mash of tunes being bumped at the moment. Some older re-rinses, some much newer... all artists that have had consistently epic releases. Hope you enjoy the ride.

Il a participé à de nombreux festivals (Wordwide Festival de Gilles Petterson, Jazz à Vienne, Tribu Festival, Invits de Villeurbanne, Nuits Sonores…). Il est Dj Résident et programmateur des Soirée Black Atlantic Club au Sucre (Lyon), à l'Opéra Undergound, Ninkasi Kao, Café à Lyon, La Bobine à Grenoble etc... : Pat Thomas, Jupiter Okwess, Vaudou Game, Batida, Family Atlantica, Ebo Taylor, Orlando Julius & Heliocentrics, Laurent Garnier, Auntie Flo, MCDE, Raoul K…. 
Il est le fondateur du blog Afrosouldescarga et anime une mixtape consacrée à ces musiques de "l'Atlantique Noir" sur, Nova Lyon, LYL Radio & Radioshic. A collaboré entre autres avec Radio Grenouille (Marseille), Radio Nova (Paris). Il donne aussi des conférences sur le sujet : Tribu Festival 2012, Musée Africain de Lyon 2013, Jazz à Vienne 2012 avec Manu Dibango, Cave à Jazz (Smac 07) 2014, Salif Keïta (Lyon 2016)…
Producteur, percussionniste son premier EP, "Cotonou", est sorti en 2018 sur le label suisse Alma Negra. Son dernier EP "Atlantic River Drive" est sorti sur le label Mawimbi Records en octobre 2020 (FIP, NOVA, RFI, RTS...). Il a aussi sorti le single "Nolias" en 2019 sur le label anglais "On the Corner Records".

James Stewart is DJ host and programmator for the Black Atlantic club monthly party at Le Sucre in Lyon. He’s active member and programmer for the collective Palmwine Records, he is the founder of the blog Afrosouldescarga and hosts radio shows devoted to Black Atlantic music on Radio Nova Lyon LYL Radio & Radioshic. He also gives lectures on the subject. Producer, percussionist, his first EP, Cotonou, was issue on Alma Negra label the 8th of june 2018. His new EP "Atlantic river drive" has been issue last october on Mawimbi Records. He also has a single, "Nolias" on the label "On the Corner Records" UK.
