This EP, inspired by the novel Hinter uns das Land (Behind Us The Land) by Frank Talmon l'Armée, delves into the harrowing life of my mother during the winter of 1944-1945. Each of the five tracks is a raw, emotional journey through themes of war, loss, escape, and resilience, set against the backdrop of East Prussia's devastation. The lyrics are drawn directly from the prologue to Book 3 (Nichts ist das Leben), capturing the unaltered, haunting narrative of the novel. With deep, melancholic rap vocals, atmospheric piano, strings, and gritty 808 beats, this EP blends storytelling with soulful production to evoke the chilling realities of WWII and the enduring hope of survival. A tribute to history, memory, and the human spirit.
