Ron Costa made a first label appearance back in 2013 with the dark groove and twisted vocals of ‘Berlidof’. The following year he was back, turning his remix talents to Paul Ritch’s ‘Pulse’. Today the Frenchman makes a welcome return with a brand new double-header - Goose / Erussel. 

Having had a global audience Dancin’ for the past twelve months Costa flies solo once again. Fresh from his excellent remix of Pig&Dan he delivers another brace of gripping techno tracks for SCI+TEC. 

The hypnotic Goose presents an almost asphyxiating groove that tightens throughout. One for the strobe-lit rooms, no doubt. Erussel on the flip is a different animal altogether. With its spacious beats and epic radiant rise, its a track that will have the dancer reaching for the celestial sphere.

As we reach our final release of the year we want to take the time to say a big thank you to all the supporters new and old. Without you guys, and not forgetting the artists we have featured this year, Instigate Recordings would not be what it is today.

INSTi011 comes from none other then one half of the production duo Valac. His debut release on Instigate showcases a more technical side to his productions and over the last few months we have seen Luke (Binary) go from strength to strength, landing himself a deal with the highly regarded Encrypted Audio. Since his first outing with his solo project on ENC - Luke has proven his talents as a producer by not limiting himself to just one style around the 140 tempo range. His release with us showcases some of the earlier stages of his productions as Binary, focusing on that minimal heavy, bass driven tech style and swung percussion with nail bitting reese design. 

Raised in Denver, Colorado - Luke first found dubstep through and early affiliation with the well known bass music events organisation Sub.Mission. His introduction to DJing came in his later school years, through involvement in local DJ competitions. It wasn’t long until he caught the production bug and citing influences such as Distance, Plastician, Toasty, Pinch and Biome we can see how his formative years in producing have taken him to the styles he’s pushing out today. 

Tech, triplets, tension and trauma all describe the sounds that form the Deprivation EP, one for the dark room heads this release is sure to cause some damage on dance floors worldwide. Featuring a collaboration with the rising star in the deep scene, Dillard - Binary shows versatility in repetition, crafting a beautifully evolving collection of tracks, each one showcasing a different vibe and style while remaining in the same vein.

 Vanuit Nijmegen werk DJ / producer / promotor, Jimmy Spliff Fiyah (Maarten Bevers, Nistelrode 1981) aan het samenbrengen van mensen met zijn muziek. Het grote publiek kent hem als de drijvende kracht van Boomshakalak Soundsystem, dat alle grote- en vele kleine festivals en clubs van Nederland heeft laten kennismaken met hun onderscheidende, aanstekelijke  dansbare reggae.  Rauw en extreem dansbaar, dat is de stijl van Jimmy Spliff Fiyah als DJ. Hij neemt je mee naar de lekkerste hoekjes van alles wat dansbaar- en reggae gerelateerd is.  90’s hiphop is zijn  muzikale jeugdliefde die hij graag deelt in speciale DJ sets, vaak ook in de klassieke vorm;  2 draaitafels en een krat  12’’ vinyl.   Het allerliefste ziet JSF een heel divers publiek op de dansvloer, om hen vervolgens mee te nemen op reis in tijd en muziek. Hij wil een mengelwerk aan mensen samenbrengen, muzikale grenzen laten vervagen en samen een feestje bouwen!  Jimmy Spliff Fiyah draaide oa:  Paaspop, Zwarte Cross, Lowlands, Doornroosje, Into the Woods, Groene Engel, de Pul, 7th Sunday, Fluor, Drift om te Dansen, Homebase Merleyn, ESNS.
