I remember loving the design of the Buster Sword 2.0. Now it just seems so stupid. It's 5 seperate swords that can combine together to make one Buster Sword.

Well...Cait Sith is a gaelic myth. So...they probably called back to that. A witch that could disguise herself as a cat. Themes, y'see.

The pay off for all the swords. Each one is its own slash in Omnislash 2.0.

Dirge of Cerberus supported USB mouse and keyboard. On a Playstation 2 even. It's the only console game I ever played with mouse and keyboard.

I agree that Cait Sith was one of those characters you either loved or hated. Much better than Quina in my opinion, and VERY Japanese style. Fighting Sephiroth in the bowels of the planet, a microphone shouting cat on a moogle, remote controlled from in Shinra. A talking Lion with his tail on fire. Man FF7 had some really amusing things in it.

Cloud as a delivery boy is about the one thing I will defend in the movie. In the game he became something he wasn't due to his ambition to become a hero, so the idea of him using his abilities to do a boring, zero-prestige normie job actually sort of works as character development if you squint.

Final Fantasy 7 was my first non fighting game as a child and what I considered at the time my first step into “real” games. As a kid it was absolutely mind-blowing. I would daydream about being a character in that world, I would mimmick the victory poses when I wanted to celebrate my own victories in life. The music stuck with me even years after playing it. Absolutely what cemented my love for video games.

On its own, Heavenly Sword is a fairly mediocre and badly animated CG movie. 

Contextualized, it's AMAZINGLY awful. What they managed to do while having access to the source material is an incredible testament to how badly you can screw up when you clearly don't give a damn.
