Hey, hey, hey! Here's a wack lil' rendition of the theme song for What's Happening that I recorded around 2005 or so. Man, I used to Love this show when I was a kid! Organ, drumset with brushes, and fretless bass.

What's Happening Theme

Here is kind of a funk/fusion/disco jam thing I co-wrote with Jimmy-Jam Reed in Tennessee in 1998. This demo-ish mix represents what it sounded like around then, but we will eventually be joined on this by Steve `Nasterson` Simon on keys, and my bro, Nicolas Marquez on percussion, to fill it in and spice it up, and I will repost the more full version later on. `98 Funkscion

Here's something I wrote around 2002 for some animators as a work for hire. It was to be used in conjunction with a video they were making for promo purposes. I don't think they needed it, in the end, as they went on to be involved in Sponge Bob Square Pants, if I'm not mistaken! It was certainly a challenging and fun piece to conceive/record, and I'm joined by my partner in crime, Spencer Davis on bass, and Jason Kramer (of Portland's Control Voltage fame), as mixing guru. Hope you enjoy!
