With this music I demonstrate how a score of a trailer cue could sound like. I used modern trailer elements, cinematic percussion and orchestral sounds for the epic main theme. Before the main theme appears I created a gap to make a transition easier for the video editor. At the end of the piece the loop from the beginning appears again. The idea was to loop the whole trailer cue if the music was used as a background track for a DVD menu or a splash screen.

Music for a possible Trailer Cue

With this track I demonstrate how a classical music piece could sound when only VST-instruments are being at play. I used my favourite VST libraries from Vienna Symphonic Library. The panning and the reverb are edited to imitate a string quartet in a typical medium sized room.

This is my submission for the Jason Graves scoring competition hosted by Thinkspace Education. I was totally thrilled about this opportunity. Since I'm a huge fan of Jason's video game scores ranging from "Tomb Raider" (2013) to newer releases like "House Of Ashes", I came up with a similar vibe, starting with distinct percussion and venturing into bold arrangements. "From Pain She Rises" is a very special track to me and my favorite original orchestral composition of the ones I've made. 
I wrote it with a specific person in mind, but I don't want to disclose her name, as I think this track will tell a different story depending on who listens to it and don't want to take that freedom to interpret it away from anyone.

From Pain She Rises

The piece was composed at the studio after recording improvisations on the Buchla 100 synth, a Granular synth, and two more Square Wave oscillators; then with digital processing based on spectral analysis and mixing techniques I produce the final work.
