I‘m a 22-year-old producer and DJ from Johannesburg, South Africa. The way I approach my music is that any and everything can spark inspiration for me, whether it be hearing a piece of music that I can sample from a song or hitting a teaspoon on a surface to create some sort of rhythm. 

I was always interested in how music was made as a teen but in 2015 I heard one song from Goldwater in particular called Substance and at the time, I thought  it was the greatest piece of production I‘d ever heard and that was the catalyst that thrust me into actually making music. So in 2016, I got FL Studio from a friend of mine and the rest is history I guess. It wasn‘t until 
October 2018 where I started posting my own music on Soundcloud though. My inspirations have changed throughout the years because with every new sound I‘d discover, I would take inspiration from whatever or whoever was prominent in that sound or genre. But I will say that as of the past 3 years, 
J Dilla, Kaytranada, Hiatus Kaiyote have been some of my biggest inspirations because whenever I listen to their music it gives me a feeling I can‘t explain, no matter how simple or complex the music is, and I try to strive for that when I make my music and hopefully the people that listen to my music feel that too. 

For me, all it takes to curate a mix is one song. From there the digging and searching begins in order to create a stream of music that flows and weaves into each other to make a great listening experience. For this mix, it was the first song which is a remix of Raphael Saadiq and D‘Angelo‘s ‚Be Here‘ by JBird. Thankfully I was able to get it before it was privated on his Soundcloud page. Because the first song I found gave an RnB feel I just took that direction and looked for songs that were similar to that. The idea behind this mix was to make it feel like music you could bop your head to while driving, or music to play in a calm environment with your favourite people,  just smooth vibes in general.
