Svata Voda is an international tribute to the almost legendary rock 'n roll band Holy Water. When Holy Water took a break after a European tour in 2012, stretching from London to Moscow, Chris Schut (guitar, vocals) and Dave Mac Gillavry (bass, vocals) decided to keep the catchy and very dancable songs alive. The band started playing in Dave's new hometown, Brno (Czech Republic), where they had local success in a vegetarian restaurant, a ski resort and a park where a much discussed striptease spontaneously took place to the song 'White Chocolate' . Svata Voda's first big public appearance was in the marvellous theater "Mala Scena" in Ceske Budejovice (where the original Budweiser beer comes from), where people are still wondering if it was really such a great show, or that it was in fact, the beer. In short, if you're not convinced now, there is only one way to find out how this band will captivate the audience with their energetic rock 'n roll! Come and see it with your own eyes and, like many people before you, get deeply touched by this band, during (or after) their performance, and don't be afriad to show off your dancing skills!

Po okouzlujícím karieře v nejvíce neznámé kapele z holandska 'snakespeare' ktera neznate od hitu jako 'Schud Je Billen' ty dva hudebnici (Chris Schut a Dave Mac Gillavry) přestěhovali do České republiky a zacinali hrat rock n roll jako jejich hrdinové z Holy Wateru. S krasnými hity jako 'Teacher's Pet' a energickými rock a rollovy pisničky jako 'Daddy's Little Girl' Chris a Dave doufaji že mužou zavěst Čechů k autentickému počit Holy Waterové koncerty (ktera bohužel oni taky nikdy neviděli hrat 'live'). Svata Voda is een internationale tribute aan de haast bijna legendarische rock 'n roll band Holy Water. Toen Holy Water in 2012 een pauze nam na een Europese tour, strekkend van Londen tot Moskou, besloten Chris Schut (gitaar, zang) en Dave Mac Gillavry (contrabas, zang) een poging te wagen om de swingende en pakkende songs in leven te houden. De band begon eind vorig jaar hun eerste shows te spelen in Dave's hometown, Brno (Tsjechië), waar ze lokaal succes hadden in een vegetarisch restaurant, een ski resort en een park waar spontaan een nog veelbesproken striptease plaatsvond op het nummer 'White Chocolate'. Svata Voda's laatste optreden was in het prachtiche theater 'Mala Scena' in Ceske Budejovice (de plek waar Budweiser vandaan komt), waar men zich nog steeds afvraagt of het echt zo'n geweldige show was, of dat het aan het bier lag. Kortom, als u nu nog niet overtuigd bent, is er maar een manier om er achter te komen hoe deze band de zaal zal betoveren met hun energieke rock 'n roll! Kom het met uw eigen ogen bekijken, en wordt net als vele voor u, tijdens (of na) dit optreden, diep geraakt door deze band. En vrees vooral niet om een dansje te wagen!

These tracks have been in the making since 2000. Music, most Lyrics and recordings are created by me, Mathijs Konings. I do not wish my real name to be attached to the final product.

The lyrics for “Hold Me” belong partially to Pepijn van de Wall Bake. The concept and outlines of “Saying Something” were given to me by a dear friend who won’t be named, but does deserve the credits.

The goal of this album is to find the perfect producer to get these songs to the next level. A level I will never reach on my own. If it grabs you, please let me know. I feel like these songs deserve to be finished and put out there to comfort at least one single person. I also feel they could be so much better if a professional artist would put their knowledge, experience and heart in it.
