I finally decided to spend some real money and buy a nice sample library for creating those epic cinematic style soundscapes.  After watching a bunch of videos and listening to songs composed by Daniel James (HybridTwo), I went with Albion III Iceni.  I decided to try composing a song entirely with Iceni samples this weekend, and this is what I ended up with.  It was a bit of a challenge because, everything is so low and big.  It's difficult to carry a clean melody.  That's not really what the library is designed for, but everything you hear is 100% raw, unfiltered Albion 3 Iceni samples (not even an EQ).  It's not perfect, but I'm out of ... time. :)  I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.  I'll have to get some more robust libraries in the future and see what I can come up with.

Played around with some synth chords, which inspired me to add a couple layers of improv.  Using Kontakt library + Albion One.
