We liked this song the first time we saw Steve & Kristi (Bluestone Folk Club 2004) and immediately decided that we'd like to sing it. Somehow it never quite worked out for us, but it stayed in our minds over the years... it wasn't until we bought a Kala U-Bass in 2012 that the arrangement started to fall into place, and we're thrilled to at last have our favourite Steve & Kristi Nebel song in our repertoire.

As with all our covers we haven't tried to slavishly copy the original, and we've taken some liberties with phrasing etc to make it our own, but we think our version retains the elements that make this a classic much-requested favourite whenever Steve & Kristi tour the UK.

Jimmy (the 'ji') & Val (the 'va') both play 6 and 12 string Taylor guitars and Kala ukuleles and both sing. The combination of vocal harmony complemented by contrasting playing styles makes for a gentle and relaxed performance with inbuilt singability and the occasional touch of humour.
