For this next episode of Ear Porn, we have Australian duo, Market Memories, Exposing themselves to the ever-evolving landscape of the house and techno pool, the Melbourne bred duo, consisting of Sean Rault & Oliver James, relish the lush workings of dance floors, bringing with them a zealous load of energy that they are candidly known for. With a lucid approach lending a hand to the old-school gears of the electronic music industry, the pair deliver floor-ready fire, while the anticipated studio output is beyond electric. Building an alliance over a decade in the clubs, the birth of Market Memories has bred an excess of house and techno expertise fit for the distinct enthusiast.

"When the Pioneer mixers with the built in effects came out, it was a revelation. Not great mixers functionally, quite poor sound wise, but effects. Effects which could be utilised in time and using the line switch had a de-facto wet / dry capability. 

The first thing that crossed my mind was to record a mix of drum machine boogie dubs. I didn't have doubles of everything but the effects ushered in a new way to get loose.

This mix was recorded straight to DAT in 1999 (or whatever year the first generation of these mixers came out) during the day at Revs".
