Our father played bass in a very famous band in the 1970's and in plenty of bands since then, very successfully at thtat.  I learned how to play the bass first, then the guitar and that is how I got the ear fpr music as my old man would put it.  My little brother not wanting to feel out and always prove himself whether it came to sport or now music.
