The sixth single from Fort Knox Five's album Pressurize The Cabin is the title track, which features vocals from Vokab Kompany and three stellar remixes from Mat The Alien, Qdup and J*Labs.

Longtime collaborator and touring partner Mat The Alien has lent his scratching mastery to previous Fort Knox Five tracks, but this is his debut remix on the label. Returning to his drum'n'bass roots he turns in a 'really good' dancefloor banger. The remix has an infectiously rolling bassline, sped-up vocals, melodic keys and warped bass stabs. Mat The Alien has crafted a frenetic remix for the floor sure to get heads bobbing and feet stomping!

Fresh from a four deck DJ set tour with Fort Knox Five, labelmate Qdup takes Pressurize The Cabin to a different altitude with his 4/4 glitch-hop remix. Through a series of strong releases, Qdup has been refining the sound of his glitched-out, electro boogie breaks which he brings to bear on this track. Maintaining a full vocal treatment, he amps up the pressure with electro blips and a wobbly bass line that hits you right in the knees.

Fort Knox Five love to champion rising talent and work with their friends from around the world and California-based J*Labs is a welcome new addition to this release. She takes the hip-hop elements of the original and injects it with a full dose of twerk and glitch-hop. This is a really fun remix that breaks and bubbles with tweaked out vocal stabs and blippy percussion.

Fort Knox Five linked up with Vokab Kompany while on tour and tapped the San Diego based hip-hop vocalists for the title track of the album. Vintage brass blasts, funky breaks and tons of bounce combine to make the original mix a party anthem for the ages. Vokab Kompany's high energy, party rocking vocals are the perfect cherry to top this quintessential Fort Knox Five confection.

It was another hot and sultry evening on the Upper Floor as lovers and dancers got down under the lights and haze for groovy, sexy, fun music and lots of eye candy.  This set is un-edited from how it went down so is imperfect but was put together in fun so not getting too serious about it.  I don't mix with a sync button and in the midst of proper chaos around the booth imperfections happen.  Crammed lots of tracks in I wanted to hear, hope you enjoy.

Some Deep Grooves

Buon giorno!  It's been a few minutes since I put out a mixtape and for that I apologize.  But it's 2019 now and new year new approach. :) Some of my time has been dedicated to keeping up on live gigs and for a while now I've been wanting to kinda get away from live shows and focus more on mixtapes and more from a personal point of view without the demands of a live show.  I want to focus more on eclectic and interesting music for the dome more than beats for the club.  Though it's absolutely not for lack of having fun because my last handfull of gigs were all very good times.  :)  Speaking of, I meant to publish my live set from the Shinto at the last WTF but never got around to it, but this one was super special so I wanted to make sure I shared it.  It was such an honor to fill this slot at the Shinto, the mystical heart of WTF and one of the most beautiful spaces ever.  I played Sunday night super late, right before sunrise.  All the other stages closed down right as I started so soon everyone awake in the entire festival was there.  I will never forget the scene.  Seratonin was taxed but the vibration was so amazing that weekend, everyone was on a cloud.  Looking out over the sea of faces all throbbing to the bass was all time.  Mega big ups to Allowe and her entire team (as well as the entire WTF family) for creating the magic, dishing out the miso buttery hospitality and conjuring an experience unlike any other.  The backstage scene that night was so great with so many friends holding it down.  It was really one of my favorite nights playing music ever.  It was a huge honor to be asked to fill that space at that time.  Thanks as well to Luke for being such a touchstone 	and getting the Funktion One humming real nice.  Apologies for the delay!  More soon!  :)

Her musical journey began as a youngster when she started learning music theory and piano, she's has picked up various instruments along the way including the guitar, violin, bass, saxophone and percussion. Jackie has drawn on her musical background to help guide and inform her DJ sets, original productions and remixes. Her sets are woven together from multiple genres; designed to engage and uplift the dance floor. She has played a number of festivals and venues including Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), Shambhala and  Lightning in a Bottle.
