Guitarist and composer Markus Fleischer originally from Germany, studied jazz at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (former Hilversum Conservatory) and then devoted himself intensively to ‘Non- Western Contemporary Compositional and Improvisational Techniques’ with classical South Indian music in a postgraduate course.
After his studies, he returned to Germany and was a member of various ensembles and duo projects, with which he released multiple albums and toured internationally with drummers such as Keith Copeland, Adam Nussbaum, guitarist John Stowell and keyboarder Jasper van't Hof.
In recent years, Markus Fleischer has particularly been involved with crossover projects such as the Freiraum Syndikat and contemporary composer Moritz Eggert. Current projects of the versatile and committed musician include the Gravity Blues Project, the Duo City Zapping, the Guitar Trio Höhn - Stowell - Fleischer. 
Out of these projects came his new album ‘Schimmer’ which will be released on October 11th, 2019 - an inspiring collaboration with the Icelandic pianist Agnar Már Magnússon, in which the two sensitive musicians combine elements of jazz, improvisations and classical music.

W E L S sind fünf junge Musiker aus Köln, Amsterdam und Berlin.
Die kollektive Band spielt ungezwungen. Modern Jazz. Voller Energie und Spielfreude.
Die Eigenkompositionen schwanken zwischen schwebenden Flächen und energetisch swingenden Improvisationen.
Sie bieten Raum für die unterschiedlichen musikalischen Persönlichkeiten und für die Geschichten die sie erzählen.
Im Mittelpunkt immer das Hören und Eintauchen in die Musik.

Die Lionrockets sind die berüchtigte Hausband des "Alter Roter Löwe Rein" in Berln-Neukölln (Rixdorf). Seit 2014 spielen sie regelmäßig bei der Tanzveranstaltung "Löwentanz". Sticky Mo und seine Lionrockets sind bekannt für ihre feurigen Solos und eine unvergleichbare Energie auf der Bühne für die Tänzer. Es lohnt sich sehr diese fünfköpfige Band live zu erleben und zu ertanzen.
