Gomila’s String Quartet No1 was composed between 6th and 18th May 2020 during lockdown due to the COVID pandemic. It is written very much in the Classical style and consists of five movements: 
Allegro, Menuetto 1, Largo, Menuetto 2 and a final Allegro Vivace.
The Quartet is in C major with the 4th movement in the Dominant key.
The Allegro opens with a Tutti. The eight notes in the opening two bars of this movement form the basis for the whole composition e.g. the Largo uses these eight notes in retrograde to form its main theme. Other compositional devices are used to provide a fresh presentation of the opening motif.

A self-taught composer, who has found his voice in older and traditional forms and styles of music.
Currently mostly composing for piano, but I have grand ambitions for writing chamber music and symphonies.
My music has a lot of variety in a way that expresses all kinds of sentiments, both intrapersonal and extrapersonal, kept in a cohesion by an underlying narrative; every composition is its own journey or a adventure, and I invite any guests who stumble upon my page to take part in it.

In my art I try to explore abstract feelings and moods. I attempt to create minimal classical music, I however dabble in other genres too, such as my techno project @wvandenacht, or where I sing as @michaeleon, and then there’s previous projects like @orpheus-immanuel of which this current one is really an extension. Most of my music is digitally crafted. Mimicking real instruments is a challenge, one which I enjoy. It is difficult to have something that was never played on an instrument sound like it was played by a human. 

I like to create trance-like flows. My music has evolved over the years as I started experimenting with different styles but the repeating bassline and layering of minimal patterns remain favorite. I like to create in general; this cosmic temple is my home, source of all pain but also pleasure, a sphere of such mystery it will not ever be fully unraveled i'm sure. Knowing that I explore how to express wonder and awe, but also abstract and intangible feelings through my art. 

There is the phantasmagoria of darkness and light, how in classical music there can be tension and it dissolves into consonance. I research this both known and unknown place whereon we happen to dwell... it is much like it. We live and explore, there is tension and we find ways to solve the tension and evolve. In music i find challenge, transcending my previous works is rewarding, it is both intellectually complex yet can simply be enjoyed.

Music however evokes feelings all humans share. And even though common they’re quite mysterious experiences; ethereal, complex, austere, overwhelming, strange, intangible and at times surreal. I believe music theory and nature itself, when scientifically analyzed have a lot in common, musica universalis. the distance between the planets are like 7 notes of a keyscale which too vibrate at a particular fixed frequency as to create harmony.

Studied Clarinet and Theory at the Gibraltar Music Centre. Played clarinet in the local municipal band, Youth Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra.  Toured with a rock band as lead guitarist. Sang in the Tenor section of the Calpe Singers. Founder member of the Band of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment rising to Warrant Officer 2nd Class, appointed BSM. Musical Director of local productions of West End musicals. Conducts the “Calpe Band” and the “Gibraltar Band and Drums Association”.
Studied Music Education in UK. Taught in local schools becoming Headteacher at a Primary school.
Have written some processional, concert and military marches, including one for His Majesty the Sultan of Oman. I have received special mention at the  International Maurice Ravel soundtracks contest. One of my pieces is available on Ablaze Records. Another was premiered in Dallas. Some of my work is featured at AudioSparx. My compositions cater for different ensembles and genres.

I love music, I always have, and I always will. I love all the different kinds, types, genres, etc. My #1 favorite is classical music it sings straight to my soul....
        Recently, I have become more acquainted with computer programming, music production software, and external instrumentation 
         I LOVE IT ;) I like to create melodies. I love to make different and not "normal" music! ***KEEP IT WEIRD*** Some of my INSTRUMENTALS & other stuff is literally just a melody, other things just WEIRD-NESS, and sometimes other stuff is just....I DON'T KNOW stuff  haha!! 🤣
        I am still a NOOB BIG time, only been playing with music On p.c. myself, off and on, for maybe a YEAR.. I HAVE BEEN GIVING MYSELF HAPPILY LATELY WORKING VERY HARD!!! ALSO, I AM HAVING A GREAT TIME!!
       NOW I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO SING 😳😳 AND RAP😂...I love to sing. That doesn't mean I'm good at it, haha!! FOR ME SINGING OR RAPPING IS VERY EMBARRASSING!!!!.😭😭😭😭😳😳😳. IT IS still so new to me...I've NEVER sang on a microphone!  I'M HAVING A GREAT TIME XOXO
      However, I still want to get my compositions out to the world. There is a lot & lot more that I have made and wayyyy more coming, and I WILL  NEVER BE DONE :o)

      Now I'm learning the programming, and I am able to get actual melodies out of my head!  I get to express my feelings, happy ,deep, dark emotions that have been buried in my so so very long..,and listening to my own tracks, and it feels great! It is so humbling to me 🥲
