Hey there!

My name is Ruxandra Carter and I’m a self taught Romanian Artist based in Tennessee, USA.

Here’s a short version of my life so far.

My talent for fine art came as a shock to me and my family! Why?…well…

My entire life I've known nothing but music; when I was 6 years old, my talent and passion for music and arts made my parents put a violin in my hand, and sent me to the Music school and highschool  “Dinu Lipatti” in my home town, Pitesti.

After high-school graduation, I then continued my music career to the capital of Romania, Bucharest, where I graduated from National University of Music Bucharest with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (professional-classical singing as a Major). 

After graduating College, life took me to Los Angeles, California where in 2012, I graduated from Musicians Institute with an Associate in Contemporary Vocals. 

My life took a turn on me a couple of years later, and one morning I just took a pencil and start scribbling and drawing shapes and trees. I then reminisced I used to draw trees and other things from time to time, back home. 

Next day I decided to draw something else, and the next day after, until I couldn’t stop. I found my true passion. Could this be it?

I wasn't sure where my pencil will take me, but I let it draw me into it. 

I took a leap of faith, I put a hold on music, freaked everyone in my life out, but… I'm glad I made that jump!!
