The Gone is a punk/pop/alternative rock band out of Lancaster, PA. They deliver a sound reminiscent of the Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Nebula, Fu Manchu and maybe a little Nirvana, though their influences range from 80’s and 90’s punk and grunge to classic rock, jazz and some modern rock. The lineup features Marc on guitars and lead vocals, John on bass, Matt on drums and backing vocals and Scot on guitars and backing vocals, the four having come together from various other working bands on the Pennsylvania and Southern California rock scene. The two-guitar power crunch hits you like a relentless wall of riff over driving rhythms with groovy vocals and well-placed harmonies, and songs that have been aptly described as “the perfect blend of the powerful and the pop, even more than the original alt-rockers”, and “legitimately authentic”, and as having a catchy and melodic spirit “that has mined the 90’s alt-pop genre of its charms and ditched the riff-raff.” They were a two-time semifinalist in the Touchtunes BreakOut Band Contest, in which they had two songs placed on 70,000+ Touchstunes Jukeboxes throughout the United States. Their debut self-titled full-length album dropped In January 2016, and is available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify for purchase and streaming. They have recently signed for development with music branding specialists Big Noise (Christina Aguilera, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many others), and are looking forward to a future with a lot of rock on the horizon. It’s music that makes you want to move, smile involuntarily and maybe even pogo, and you’ll currently find it rocking stages in and around Lancaster, PA or maybe soon in a town near you.
