"Touching You" is a mesmerizing slow burn that sweeps the listener into an ever-expanding world of tantalizing imagery and introspection. As the song evolves, layers of sound stack one on top of each other: dreamy guitars, soulful vocals, a driving baseline, and a steady, thumping kick, all culminate in a crescendo of resplendent horns.

The song paints a vivid picture of vulnerability and desire as Frances reflects on the challenges of navigating the blurred lines between friends and lovers. Her poignant lyrics capture the frustration and longing that arises when someone’s actions and words don’t align, leaving one to piece together their true feelings.
