💙 Inspired by the vastness and mystery of the ocean, "Ocean Whispers" is a deep dive into the emotions and reflections that arise when faced with the infinite. Drawing parallels to the metaphorical "green light" in F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby", I tried to evoke feelings of yearning for a distant dream, aspirations just beyond our reach, and the gentle tug of the unseen currents that guide our lives.

My grandfather once worked on a pilot boat. Although I never met him, every time I see a pilot boat at the ocean, it gives me many different emotions - wanderlust, longing and some kind of a special connection. For this release I recorded my accordion for the first time which recently joined my instrument family.

Knowing about what is going to happen to him, he blazes his trail like a gentle lamb that is going to be slaughted. I’m so moved by his finality, by his unending, uncomprimising love, even for those who are gonna call „Take him away, take him away, crucify him!“. That’s the most disturbing, self-sacrificing yet truthful love that I’ve ever experienced. 

The oppositenes that I see within the shouts and calls of the people is also inside of me. I can’t deny that. But his love is bigger than all hate of the world. This is a good message. It’s the most wonderful message I’ve ever heard.
