After a crazy year, the city is brewing with new energy. This set was brought to life at a private rooftop event celebrating New York's comeback, and welcoming the summer months. 

I wanted to express New York's diversity by selecting songs from around the world. It celebrates sounds from South Africa, Bulgaria, Brazil, Cameroon, Colombia, Spain, Italy, France, and of course the US from the West Coast to the deep South. 

The mood is upbeat and bouncy, and works both for daytime and night-time vibes. Hope that you enjoy it, and that you have a wonderful start to the summer!

SOUL/FUNK MIX 1964-80 VOLUME 1. (PRIVATE PARTY, LISBOA, 1.10.2021)

After years of studiously compiling playlists for friends, and, more recently, taking the first amateur steps towards stringing whole sets together, I was entrusted by two dear friends to share some of my favourite tracks on the last night of an unforgettable trip to the Quaggafontein desert. 

It was my first night playing in front of strangers (although most of the strangers had become friends by then).

What I put together is a collection of melodic, texturally interesting, high-energy beats, suited to an endless, purple-hued desert sky and a small crowd of friendly faces.

It gave me tremendous joy to try my (only) hand at this. I hope you like it too.

Thanks to everyone who was there to go on the ride on the magic carpet with me. 
I finally got the chance to fill one of my favorite times to play, the sunny afterhour/noon vibe and shared some of my all time favorites.

What a delight it was to get welcomed back to one of our favourite stages in the country @pangeafrequencies. The Pangea Family Affair is a festival of dreams - the art is mind blowing, the sound impeccable, and the crowd is conscious, connected and full of energy! This set in the Canyon was in many ways the culmination of what has truly been an incredible year for us - a collection of sounds and songs inspired by the amazing artists, producers and friends we have crossed paths with over these last few months. Pinerolo is a restaurant in Oslo. I was commissioned by the owners to compile and mix three mixtapes. Their directives were rather vague, lending me an opportunity to pick from any genre, not care too much about how commercial the tracks were and just create an eclectic but cohesive compilation that would contribute to the relaxed vibe at Pinerolo. This is what I did.
