After a crazy year, the city is brewing with new energy. This set was brought to life at a private rooftop event celebrating New York's comeback, and welcoming the summer months. 

I wanted to express New York's diversity by selecting songs from around the world. It celebrates sounds from South Africa, Bulgaria, Brazil, Cameroon, Colombia, Spain, Italy, France, and of course the US from the West Coast to the deep South. 

The mood is upbeat and bouncy, and works both for daytime and night-time vibes. Hope that you enjoy it, and that you have a wonderful start to the summer!

Humming Hut @ Shipwrecked 2023

Here's something I played to calm my nervous system after some intense and challenging couple of days. Sometimes everyone seems upbeat and you simply can't get there....this was one of those weekends.

I recorded this set at home with no intention of sharing it - meaning, I did not pre-select any of the tracks, I did not care for choosing the right key and sometimes I overdid the effects or mixed sloppy because I needed to rest my exhausted feverish body or my brain got extra foggy. I also played this without headphones since I forgot them at my last gig....I'm still happy with how this has caught my mood. A bit dramatic, a bit heavy, a bit messy. But still beautiful in its own way. 

And since it's been a while that I shared some music up here I decided to do what Seth Godin preaches and ship my creative work, because that's what makes THE PRACTICE. And maybe it makes you feel less alone on a heavy day.

With this question in mind, we reached out to our friends and everyone came back to us with another musical interpretation. The result are the tinyboat sessions - a collection of mixtapes as diverse as our community. Anything that brings joy or lets our thoughts wander is welcome.

It's been 15 years since Luis Rosenberg (@luisrosenberg) spinned his first records. He grew up in Vienna and soon started living and traveling around the world, where he developed his 'globetrotter style' before ending up in Berlin eight years ago.

Over the course of time, Luis established an unique way when it comes to creating a sonic experience. The groove chaser builds up an acoustic spectrum, that feels like a welcoming breeze of fresh air. He is combining instrumental tracks with enchanting voices and electronic atmospheres. Listening to his mixtapes makes it clear that he is influenced by places all over the world.

Our 124th edition couldn't be more diverse. The Austrian is delivering a 72-min session filled up with unexpected surprises. If we could transform our minds into vehicles, now would be the time to start our engines in order to take a ride through this musical journey.
