Composed in 2011 by Joan La Barbara for the American Composers Orchestra, premiered at Carnegie's Zankel Hall. For "In solitude this fear is lived", a sound painting, I have distributed the players around and among the audience and also created a “sonic atmosphere”, a collage utilizing elements of breath, voice, natural and manipulated instruments, mixing a wash of color, texture and timbre as painters often prime a canvas, forming a foundation over which the live sounds float, interact and are sometimes subsumed. The work is also inspired by the paintings and drawings of Agnes Martin which are precise, obsessive, delicate, minimal yet wondrous in complexity. The title comes from a passage in Miss Martin’s journals.

Hey there. I am Erik and the creator of "humanpixel".

I gained in a short time almost 8000 follower with that project, hence my nickname.

Sometimes I just love to produce music or remix songs... With a little bit of spice: I only use vocalstems while remixing. And !NO! I am wether a DJ nor an artist. I consider myself a "music producer".

I have been producing music since my youth but back then actually all of my tracks sounded like an amateur produced it. That`s why I actually never released my music. Meanwhile after years of studying, reading and of course trial & error I can say that I have get myself to a decend knowledge of producing music for mainstream and underground.
