This week's selection comes from the Belgrade-based Schwabe. He is known for being half of the long-standing Serbian slo-mo duo Tapan with great releases on labels such as Crimes of the Future, Malka Tutti, including a remix by Timothy J. Fairplay, a remix on Elephant Gait, and more. His production career began within Kompleks, a live duo he once formed with his pal Lule. As one of the founders of the Disco Not Disco series with DJ Brka and Toshke, they've hosted the likes of Vladimir Ivcovic, Ron Morelli, Black Merlin, and many others. He also boasts a sick Boiler Room broadcasted from 20/44 and performances at Atlas Electronic in Morocco. Lock in for an hour of dark, slow and seductive rhythms by a master in this space!

Mike Tansella Jr. is a Berlin-based DJ originally from Bari, South Italy. 

Mike moved to Berlin in 2013 and started mixing officially for Detroit radio "In My House music show" in 2016. Around that time, he made his first steps into underground venues like KitKat, Anita Berber, Paloma, Farbfernseher, Griessmuehle, to name a few. In 2019, he took part in L.A.'s Black Lodge. 

Mike is harnessing his talents with his cousin Tans as a part of the industrial duo Sons of Traders, runs SOT records since 2020, and regularly contributes to Tbilisi's Mutant Radio.

His music was released via The Black Lodge, Frigio Records, Clan Destine Records, Acero, and more.

His mix style is a blend of the House school of Chicago, Detroit, New York, with experimental sound and no waves. In his LAYER, Mike displays eclectic taste without compromises.

Con más de 20 años al servicio de la electrónica, @timothy-j-fairplay ha forjado un sonido que abarca todo tipo de géneros desde un enfoque melódico y analógico. 

Junto a @andrew-weatherall formaba parte del dúo Asphodells, donde se dio a conocer rápidamente con trabajos de corte más lento. Influenciado por el sonido de la costa oeste holandesa, Timothy ha publicado en sellos como @pinkmanrecords, @knekelhuis o hoga-nord-rekords.

Sus últimas producciones han evolucionado hacia un sonido más rápido, pero manteniendo la esencia y eclecticismo que tanto le caracterizan. Recientemente ha estrenado @dungeon-module, su nuevo sello donde publicará próximamente nuevas referencias junto a otros artistas.

El pasado mes de agosto pudimos disfrutar de su directo durante la noche de @italo_moderni en Lolita. Una hora cargada de electro, melodías y sintetizadores que ya puedes escuchar en el nuevo Live @ Human disponible en nuestro SoundCloud.

Charlotte Bendiks is part of the Keychange programme 2020-2021, supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission. A DJ, a producer, and a positive thinker, she spent the last years exploring music, people, life and places.

From her home town Tromsø, where she ran her own clubseries, actively shaped the Insomnia Festival, and released two records on Mental Overdrive’s Love OD label, to Cologne, where she cooperated with artists like Coma, Lena Willikens, and developed a long lasting mutual love affair with the Salon des Amateurs. She has been traveling ever since and played, danced, loved, and laughed her way around the globe- from Buenos Aires’ infamous Dengue Dancing Parties, to festival sites in Hanoi, Montevideo, Marseille, and Berlin. As Dollkraut, Pascal Pinkert very much operates out on his own. His mastery of sound makes for music that is at once from the future but also reminiscent of the past. Fusing synth and new wave, pop hooks and a knack for rough riding grooves, he is a versatile producer who can freak you out or make you open your heart. The Dutchman does so with releases on labels like Doppelschall and The Gym; releases that soon sell out and become much sought after. His latest is the gritty yet romantic Holy Ghost People album, which is due on Jennifer Cardini’s new label in March. 

The same haunting but spaced out 70s sound that characterises his music and DJ sets also defines the mix he has put together for us here. It’s a jaunty journey through a cinematic and upbeat world of naive pop, electro boogie, robot disco and glam-synth gorgeousness that oozes style. Few DJs have a sound that manages to be as aesthetically tight yet musically diverse and this, but Dollkraut pulls it off with ease.
