Following the release of his new album ’Nightwhisper’, Jody Wisternoff pairs up with UK compatriot and seasoned DJ and producer Shadow Child for 'Something Real (Shadow Child Apollo Remix)’. 

With releases on Defected, Hot Creations, Dirtybird, and Armada’s Electronic Elements, Shadow Child (aka Dave Spoon) has cemented himself in the UK electronic scene. Renowned for his dark, techno-infused sound, Shadow Child has bolstered his powerful catalogue with remixes for Alunageorge, Xpansions, The Kite String Tangle, and Little Boots.

In this remix, Shadow Child ups the tempo and gives Wisternoff’s ’Something Real’ a fervent bass line and lead, seamlessly matching Jinadu’s strong vocal.

Biography

DAVE HORNE (aka DJH) is a long-standing presence in the UK’s underground progressive and trance scene. Best known for his warm-up sets at The Gallery at Turnmills during the golden era of London clubbing, he regularly set the tone for artists like Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, and Paul Oakenfold — delivering early-night sets built on restraint, depth, and emotional pacing.

As a producer, Dave’s sound blurs the lines between house and trance — melodic, spacious, and compositionally rich. His early releases on labels such as Baroque Records, Discover Deep, Anjunadeep, Solaris, and Alter Ego earned praise for their clarity and identity. Tracks like The Road to March (under his DJH alias) captured a moment, while Q.E.D. challenged the pace of trance with a deeper, slower aesthetic — released at a time when few were willing to take that risk.

Now in 2025, he remains quiet — but connected. There are murmurs in the background. Something’s building… slowly.
