45 years of playing guitar—with only the first year not in front of an audience—has failed to make me healthy, wealthy, and wise. I have, however, managed to hone my ability to fit right in with almost any genre of popular music: rock, pop, country, blues, folk, alternative. Save traditional jazz and classical. I am also fluent on bass, and can play some drums and keyboards.

I am also available to sub/fill in, and to contribute guitar/bass tracks over the internet.

Formed in 2011, this Chicago-based five piece wrote and performed alternative soul and indie dance.

Urban Twangʼs quixotic songwriting team of Lead Vocalist Trish Clausen and guitarist Max Twang. Trish and Maxʼs first project was a pop ska band called The Eccentrics (it’s not you, no one has heard of them). Their next band was Price of Passion (no one has heard of either). 

Because of Max’s fascination with bolo ties they redefined themselves by adding an Americana vibe to their music and became Urban Twang. 

With a resumé that boasts opening for nationally touring acts, songs appearing in indie films, and numerous performances for radio and television, Urban Twang is still gathering new fans to enjoy their music.
