I found the Intimate Strings LITE library on Embertone's website, and I was blown away by this free library. I wish it had a little more range (it's only about 3 octaves), but I really can't complain. The legato is awesome, and the sordino patch has a beautiful, warm sound as well. This piece was just the result of my playing around with the three different patches included in the library. I highly recommend it!

Fair play to the lads in Spitfire Audio - Every now and then they allow us to buy a subset of their sample libraries and all proceeds go to charity. So I purchased the latest bundle (about 10 sounds) and doodled this one out this evening (just for fun).

Spitfire Labs

After Spitfire Audio released their new library, 'Spitfire Originals: Epic Strings,' I wanted to see how that library worked with a couple other Spitfire products, Studio Strings & Studio Brass, and as I was in Chicago at the time, the city in which The Dark Knight was mostly filmed, you can see what I chose to test this out with.
