You gently yawned and stacked clouds. You are the view beneath the clover, miniscule enough to see her veins in the summer sun. You are the end of a sigh, the basement of the lungs. You are the golden hour whom erst you knew. You, in all of your wicked and kind facets, are the red stroke across a blank canvas. You bragged about the tiny spine in your palm, and told stories about the shapes it used to take. You cracked open and told me your name.

orico is a sunset for 15 soundtracks, a diadem of human proclivities. Peach fuzz of harmony hums, the TV’s fur at your fingertips, the dog between your legs awaiting whistles, pacing around the room while the idea rubs against bedroom walls. A parochial friend once implied the sunset is the same every day. “I’ve never had someone make me question all the rules,” once said. It’s hard not to agree with something so foolish.

"I recorded this in the midst of hurricane season 2024. Helene hit us pretty hard and left me feeling even more isolated as a trans person in an area that is already pretty much detached from most everything (northwesternmost tip of south carolina). I found myself looking toward the coast, some 5 hours away, and toward soraweb's approach to "electronic bossa nova" alongside the works of Arto Lindsay and Masakatsu Takagi. Nearly every track here was improvised in single takes (no outstanding cuts or overdubs, if it could be helped) with a mixture of live instrumentation and electronics, including some sounds produced by an old homebrew sequencer for the Nintendo DSi, if you can believe that. the DSi usage is best heard in the electronic voices on "upsets" and "caowu". Various sounds were provided by trans and nonbinary friends who wish to remain anonymous, many of whom are in constant search of an aquatic vessel, one for us to ride into the sunset on, in hopes of escaping this horrible storm."

One Summer Day (Sen And Chihiro's Missing OST) (Live) (Remastered)

Mamoru Fujisawa known professionally as Joe Hisaishi 久石 譲 , is a composer and musical director known for over 100 film scores and solo albums dating back to 1981.
While possessing a stylistically distinct sound, Hisaishi's music has been known to explore and incorporate different genres, including minimalist, experimental electronic, European classical, and Japanese classical. Lesser known are the other musical roles he plays; he is also a typesetter, author, arranger, and conductor.

He is best known for his work with animator Hayao Miyazaki, having composed scores for almost all of his films, including Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984), Laputa: Castle in the Sky (1986), My Neighbor Totoro (1988), Kiki's Delivery Service (1989), Porco Rosso (1992), Princess Mononoke (1997), Spirited Away (2001), Howl's Moving Castle (2004), Ponyo (2008).
When he started to take violin lessons at the age of five, Hisaishi discovered his passion for music. Realizing his love, he attended the Kunitachi College of Music in 1969 to major in music composition. Hisaishi collaborated with minimalist artists as a typesetter, furthering his experience in the musical world.

He enjoyed his first success of the business in 1974 when he composed music for a small animation called Gyatoruzu. This and other early works were created under his given name. During this period, he composed for Sasuga no Sarutobi (Academy of Ninja) and Futari Taka (A Full Throttle).
In the 1970s, Japanese popular music, electronic music, and new-age music flourished; those genres, as well as the Yellow Magic Orchestra (a Japanese electronic band in 1978–1983), influenced Hisaishi's compositions. He developed his music from minimalist ideas and expanded toward orchestral work. Around 1975, Hisaishi presented his first public performance, spreading his name around his community. His first album, MKWAJU, was released in 1981, with Information being released a year later. His first major anime scores were Hajime Ningen Gyatoruz (1974) and Robokko Beeton (1976).

As his works were becoming well known, Hisaishi formulated an alias inspired by Quincy Jones, an African-American musician and producer. Retranscribed in Japanese, "Quincy Jones" became "Joe Hisaishi."
