Her DJ sets weave through various elements of house music, from deep, slow, & soulful grooves to bompin, upbeat, energetic jams, she'll take you on a musical journey in every set she lays down.

Over the past year during the lockdowns, Shael hosted weekly music streams on Twitch and was featured in several cross-Canada stream events, further fostering connections with artists and music fans throughout the house music community. Shael continues to provide dancing opportunities both virtually on Twitch and now at select events locally as public dancing makes a comeback.

FACT mix 442 - DJ Sneak (May '14)

This could be my favourite recorded set.  I've definately recorded heavier soundsystem flexers but this is more of my love letter to Disco and its progression into house.  This is the first 2.5 ish hours of a 3 hour club set- the "after party" for a Tight Hair live disco set.  When i saw the dance floor tight hair had I knew the crowd was up for it, they had the place packed and grooving.  Playing after a live disco band opened the door for me to play almost 2 hours of my favourite disco edits and proto house, before it was obvious the crowd wanted more- so I bumped it up to a housier vibe before tearing into some garage- which is where this mix ends.  I'm unbelievably grateful to the crowd who was with me the whole time in a tight, intimate environment, great sound and tons of friends.  This one is special to me.  Hope you enjoy!

After picking up a smashing Dastardly Kuts DJ residency at Babylon on Eagle Street in my hometown of Brisbane, I thought I'd take the opportunity to start a new Kut Above Sessions Mixtape Collection.

This is Volume One of the Babylon Sunset Sessions recorded live on Friday the 12th of April, 2024 with vibes of the new and infinite potential of love in my heart.

The last Sessions Collection was released in 2019, way before the World turned upside down with the Covid pandemic, so it feels nice to be back behind the decks and doing what I do best.

After just returning from a year of living on Country and getting reacquainted with the Ancestors, Spirit, Cultural Ritual & Lore, I was a bit rusty on the first couple of transitions in this one, but I soon found my groove.

I am happy with this one and feel it will stan up well against my other Dastardly Kuts live recordings from over the past 20 years in this game.

I'm grateful to be back and feel more ready than ever before to claim my crown as the true King of Babylon.
