Well, my original recording of my Shambhala set was completely distorted as well my set was cut short due to some technical issues.  A month later, here is a one-shot live recording I finally did in my home in Sayulita, Mexico. There are some audio spikes and a few mistakes but I need to upload this or I'll never re-record it.  Giant shout out to Lisa Real for the use of her studio and all the love & support this past summer and mad respect for Rough Child, I really enjoyed making a mash-up of his "Woodgrippin" track. Footwork NYE (31/12/23)

This could be my favourite recorded set.  I've definately recorded heavier soundsystem flexers but this is more of my love letter to Disco and its progression into house.  This is the first 2.5 ish hours of a 3 hour club set- the "after party" for a Tight Hair live disco set.  When i saw the dance floor tight hair had I knew the crowd was up for it, they had the place packed and grooving.  Playing after a live disco band opened the door for me to play almost 2 hours of my favourite disco edits and proto house, before it was obvious the crowd wanted more- so I bumped it up to a housier vibe before tearing into some garage- which is where this mix ends.  I'm unbelievably grateful to the crowd who was with me the whole time in a tight, intimate environment, great sound and tons of friends.  This one is special to me.  Hope you enjoy!

CHRYSALIS

We had an incredible time contributing a B2B set at Antidote's Love Motel on Feb 10th, 2024 in Nelson BC. The morning of the event we were given the unfortunate news that Hoola's Mother's partner of 15 years was in hospital and most likely not coming home. 

We embraced the LOVE theme to channel our thoughts and prayers towards him & mama Paine.

It was the perfect vibe with a wonderful cast of friends old and new to collectively send positive vibes towards his transition. 

He passed at 1:30pm Sunday afternoon. 

Thank you to our community for making the magic happen with us. We recorded this set in studio the next day and are dedicating it to:

There’s nothing ancient about Primitive’s sound or technique.
