Seeing how I do with a long House Percussion Pattern Set and the way my mind works is it injected some classical patterns into it along with jazz stuff, yet following house rhythms.
Merges 2 drum kits into the same pattern.

2nd longest piece I have made so far to date.
It's also one of the first times I didn't have a percussion track at full volume levels so that it's more gentle and supporting.

"Atlantic Road" features the piano, guitar, timpani and sampling. The track looks back in time when I was still a young child. We spent a lot of time in Muizenberg during school holidays visiting with family. My grandfather always went walking with us and would buy us ice-cream on Atlantic Road. I remember the wind blowing up against you as you walked along the streets and the happiness of those times. Life was simple and uncomplicated. My grandfather somehow showed me the joy in the simple things, being with family, going for slow walks and eating ice-cream along the way. 

There is a lot of nostalgia attached to this piece and rightly so. The Muizenberg Project will paint some amazing pictures of life along the south coast of South Africa. It was and still is a beautiful place.
