THE SLEEPERS RECORDZ RETRIEVES TWO GEMS FROM TEMU’S VAULT OF TIMELESS NECK BREAKERS

Ever heard an old song so good you wish you knew it when it came out? The chief at Sleepers Recordz heard Keep On Dancin’ and felt compelled to press it to vinyl. A masterful blend of 21st Century Pop, Funk, and Soul that never fails to get folks groovin no matter the age or background. Inspired by the pop sounds of the era, Temu crafted the perfect ear worm tailored for an audience in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he once resided in 2010. It instantly became an infectious local smash hit and it still slaps now. Temu revisits this jam from over a decade ago with a newly remastered cut, remixes and a stripped down version available on all streaming platforms.

On the B-Side of the vinyl is a window into what would become one of Temu’s signature sounds, “Body Move”. Tailored specifically for the robotic “Popping” style of streetdance in 2015, Temu crafted an entirely new instrumental groove using a sample of his talkbox from his song “Magic & Sorcery” found on the Relic of the Mothership album. However, pro street dancer or not, the chances of anyone being able to stand still while listening to this are very, very low.

Joeblack's recent 'Mundo Paralelo Vol. 2' has been on heavy rotation at Mullet HQ these past few weeks... in fact the EP is so strong that it was very difficult for us to pick a favourite. So we asked Joe which track he thought would make a great single, and with a resounding "yes" we all agreed that 'Can't Let You Go' would be the perfect single to pull off the EP.

So here it is, four deliciously tasty 'Can't Let You Go' mixes, including a 'Radio Edit' for all the radio dudes, a glorious 'Extended Mix' for the Dj dudes and a really cool 'Dub Mix' for the dudes that like their Disco a little more stripped!

O porto-alegrense Joeblack nunca escondeu sua paixão pela black music. Desde cedo já preferiria discos de artistas como Barry White e Stevie Wonder a brinquedos que qualquer garoto de sua idade gostaria de ter.  Ouvindo aos 4 anos os Lps do irmão mais velho, teve contato com as vertentes da soul pop da época, representadas pelo grupo Earth Wind and Fire, o já citado Stevie Wonder e pelo até então emergente megastar Michael Jackson e sua pérola Off the Wall. Desde então, contaminado pelo poder do ritmo e das melodias negras, Joeblack começou a vislumbrar uma carreira musical.
Com o passar dos anos, já na faculdade de comunicação social, onde se formou em Publicidade e Propaganda, Joeblack fez parte de uma banda de soul music montada pelos seus colegas chamada The Hard Working Band, como um dos vocalistas. O grupo fez muito sucesso no Rio Grande do Sul, gravando 3 discos em 7 anos.
Depois desse começo bem sucedido na música, Joeblack partiu rumo ao centro do país para tentar mostrar seu trabalho enquanto produtor, que consiste numa mescla de r&b, soul e hip hop. Influenciado por Quincy Jones, Babyface e Teddy Riley, o cantor/produtor começou em 2005 a produzir músicas para diversos nomes que começavam a despontar no cenário do hip-hop em São Paulo. Apesar de ter lançado em 2003 um EP com 5 músicas, Joeblack decidiu dar um tempo no seu trabalho enquanto cantor e resolveu concentrar-se na produção de outros artistas como Quelynah, WX, Rodrigo Moratto, Negra Li, Goobie. Ele também assinou remixes para o projeto Limão (do site Limão), para a cantora Cindy e o grupo Antônia. 
Em 2011, lançou despretensiosamente o projeto Mundo Paralelo vol. 1, que homenageia a música negra da década de 80. Suas músicas “Delorean”, “Agora Vai” e “Voltar” com participação da cantora Angel B, chamaram a atenção da cena dos dançarinos de São Paulo, tornando o EP bem conhecido no meio. Essas músicas também conseguiram atingir um público internacional, uma vez que o projeto fez parte de diversas edições do programa em formato de podcast “Soul Unsigned” do DJ londrino Phil Driver.
O interesse do produtor é fazer com que sua sonoridade construa uma cena de r&b forte aqui no Brasil e competitiva no mercado internacional. Atualmente faz parte do grupo de produção WeAreTheHit, junto com os também produtores Riztocrat (Sevenlox) e Victor PLG Reis (com o WATH, Joeblack produziu o álbum “Boombox Arcade” da Banda Cine). Em 2013, lançou o volume 2 do seu projeto Mundo Paralelo, que conta com participações especiais de Momo King aka Tonho Crocco, Juliano Barreto e Sevenlox.
