Following the huge success of the 150th Amber Blue Recordings release by Andy Syn & Heinrich & Heine, the accompanying remix special is now available – and it's quite something. Two outstanding artists breathe new life into two of the anniversary tracks: Wailey, who tours worldwide and has releases on the scene's most important labels, turns ‘Voco Me’ into a real highlight, while DJ SAF, an up-and-coming newcomer and current host of the Amber Radio Show, takes on ‘Sacrifice My Love’.

Wailey brings his distinctive, energetic style to bear, transforming ‘Voco Me’ into a real festival moment. DJ SAF, on the other hand, delivers a fresh, creative and slightly different reinterpretation of ‘Sacrifice My Love’ with modern drive and a clear dancefloor orientation.

This remix EP shows once again how strongly Amber Blue Recordings is networked – with established names and new talents who together are shaping the sound of the future. A worthy follow-up to the anniversary release!

The epic productions from Full Intention just keep rolling. Following up on their last production on Defected, ‘Keeping Pushing’, which climbed to #1 in the Traxsource chart as well as a remix on the recent Fourth Floor re-release Black Riot ‘A Day In The Life’, Michael Gray and Jon Pearn can do no wrong. 

Originally released in 2001 on Defected, ‘Love Is Not A Game’ by J Majik now gets the Full Intention treatment, alongside a rare drum and bass diversion from Defected by Mr Majik himself. The undeniable strengths of the original ‘Love Is Not A Game’ shine through in these remixes while its basic core elements have been turned on their head. Kathy Brown’s commanding voice soars while the original minimal drum and bass bottom line is switched up for a classic Full Intention house-inclined 4/4. On the flip side is J Majik with his stripped-back drum and bass version, which has all the same pace from his Metalheadz days and a suitably souped-up, rolling bassline.

Alongside his work with Hot Chip, The 2 Bears, and HARD FEELINGS, Joe Goddard keeps busy as a solo artist, songwriter, producer, DJ, remixer, and co-founder of the Greco-Roman record label. Across all his projects, he is driven by a hunger for experimentation, an innate understanding of dance, pop, and indie music’s inner workings, and a heartfelt love of collaboration.

Joe embraces the role of ‘producer’ on a musical, practical, and spiritual level. His infatuation with dance music began as a teenager in the ’90s, attending clubnights where he progressed from indie and hip hop to drum’n’bass to house and garage.

On top of his solo records, Joe has released eight albums with Hot Chip, two with The 2 Bears, and one with HARD FEELINGS. Other projects include Extra Credit (with Justin Strauss and Marcus Marr) and A Pulse Train (with Caribou’s Dan Snaith, Floating Points, and others). He’s worked with Jarvis Cocker, Peter Gabriel, and Bernard Sumner; remixed Jessie Ware, Kraftwerk, and Disclosure; co-wrote Katy Perry’s “Into Me You See”; and released the 2011 hit “Gabriel” with Valentina.
