Distorted Sensory Perception returns for their 4th release, proudly welcoming Eddie Symons AKA Nullptr to the fold. ‘Lost Time’ boasts 4 deep and dynamic analogue cuts that are sure to stimulate the mind, body and soul. The EP forms the penultimate part of Nullptr's 2021 triptych, recorded over the final months of a difficult year when the distance between friends and family really started to be felt, yet the hope of better times felt close.

The A-side opens with the bass heavy ‘Adrift’. Shrouded in eerie synth leads and tasteful modular bleeps. All presented over heavy hitting drum loops that together make an emotive, uncompromising whole.
The first side concludes with the warm and funky ‘Islands’. Smooth sailing synthesis and popping percussion in combination create a sonic delight for the ears.

The B-side opens with the dark and moody ‘First Light’. A deep, dystopian example of UK Electro that takes no prisoners. Deep menacing bass pads, melancholic synth leads and acidic squiggles all bubbling under a punchy broken beat.
Finally, the last piece of the puzzle and title track of the release ‘Lost Time’ is a lighter, dreamier example of Eddie’s versatility as a producer. Signature arpeggios and contemplative leads all tied together with shuddering percussive elements. A beautiful insight into the reflective mind of its creator and a fitting end to an emotion-inducing record.

Adam Pits is back with his second album on Leeds based On Rotation ‘Synthetic Serenity’ represents the next evolutionary step of Adam’s sound design and direction. In stark contrast to his first album, ‘A Recurring Nature’, this new release moves out of the forest and into the digital landscape, capturing the sound of a future world over 8 varied tracks. 

Adam Pits talks about the inspiration behind the new album:

“It’s hard to put into words how much of an impact 2022 had on my life. I could talk for hours about the highs and lows, the journeys, both inside and out of my body. Or I could just make an album. 

Having delved into the deeper reaches of techno and ambient, I wanted to show my appreciation for these genres on the record. Atmosphere, clarity and warmth became the pillars of my new sonic exploration, with stress falling on my signature ‘journeying’ style. The album describes the idea of being at peace with machines and being open to the idea that in the future we will find ourselves more and more involved with one another. 

‘Synthetic Serenity’ is a product of a big energy release. It’s a testament to my acceptance of change in life and I believe it’s a true sign of my sonic evolution”

Another blast from the past. Organic Signs' second reference comes from a white label record found in Jan Swam's collection. Positive Recreational Soundsystem is another aka for A Positive Life (Stefan Pierlejewski & Liam Farrell). Under this name, they only release one EP, back in 1996. There are 2 original tracks and a remix we added to close the generational circle.

The considered king of analogue synthesizers Oberheim Matrix 12 is the base of this PRS EP. Side A - Son of The Rising House - is a 10 mins entrancing musical journey that will transport us to the optimism and joy of a sunrise in the free parties of the mid 90's, which were still resisting to enter the capitalist rules of the clubs. Side B1 - Encoded - features an FM oscillator from the Matrix 12, embarking us on a darker version of the rave, with modulated sounds closer to goa trance. Finally, the B2 - remix by Jan Swam - shows us a modern take on the A-side, using the original samples sent by Stefan and others from the legendary Yamaha RM1X. It is an 8 minutes rework in which he pays great respect to the original one, separating it into a first part with breakbeat rhythms and a second part with 4X4.

The first installment of this saga opens with "Sacrifice," a Neurobreaks track in the purest style, full of enveloping atmospheres and special vocals that convey an intense and unique feeling.

It is followed by "Missing You," a song that immerses us in a style that could be described as Liquid Breaks, with hypnotic vocals and a clear, moving message.

REMENZ shows off his full artistic potential and his most emotional side, making it clear that this album will undoubtedly be one of the most important projects for both the artist and Neuro Breaks Collective.

Making their debut on Crimes Of The Future are Betonkust & Innershades with ‘Forever In Boccaccio’ their homage to the legendary Belgian nightclub & neon lit club scene which no longer really exists. Made in January 2017 under grey Belgian skies, while listening to a lot of New Beat, Acid & Trance. Belgian sadness & melancholy all the time, fries & beer every day. People would go out from from Friday till Monday afternoon, imagine 60 hours in a club? Feels like forever, thats where the title came from. The ’88 side features the title track & ‘In Love With A Girl Who Doesn’t Exist’ both very much recalling the heyday of the Belgian New Beat scene. ‘Jambers At The Carat Club’ & ‘The Return Of Van Rossem’ over on the ’92 side move with the changing tastes as the years passed, harder edged & with more of an Acid feel.

Very reminiscent of early F-com releases and our own harbour city duo Duplex's early works on Dub and Clone Records.
